It's against the rules of the contract of insurance to not declare points when you get them, and will also make your insurance null and void should you have an accident during the year the policy is active.
I.e. If you have a claim in that period, AXA will tell you to get the boat and you will then be personally liable for any claims against you.

No you won't. Insurance always covers the third party. The most they can do is cancel your policy giving due notice thereby making it next to impossible to get insured with another company. Every insurance thread ends up with someone spouting this rubbish.

They have to pay out to the third party under the Road Traffic Act, but if it's non disclosure they have the right to reclaim the costs from you.

Which they do by charging a gigantic premium next time around. Then again, that's what they do to anyone who makes a claim. I've never heard of any insurance company pursuing a single individual for monies paid out in a claim, they pass it on to all the other punters.

I don't know about yourself but when shopping around for insurance I always try to go for whoever gives me the cheapest quote.

Not exactly looking at 3 figure premiums on a high performance car with a girlfriend with under 2 years FL experience now

Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is the case. I couldn't afford to pay any more than the premium they were giving me so I'm just... not going to claim this year (only two months left...) and tell them about it in August when I have to renew.

Hd same thing for 520i 2004 im 33 8 years ncb. However everywhere for my renewal next week is now 200% more!! The best i can get now on a 05 320d is 604, aa with axa i think and thats because i have aa breakdown and home insurance
My wife is faring worse.

Prices mental this year no one else's quote cheaper

right, I got my quote last July so sounds like when I come to renew I will get a shock !?!

Depends on where you are, cars classification on there books etc

It was cheaper for me 6 years ago to insure the old golf gti than it is now, prices ballooned 3 years ago for me went from 450 to 860 and only thing changed was an extra years ncb for me.

Trade policy so covered to drive what ever I have or want.

Insurance companies are at the moment losing huge amounts of money due to rising crashes and huge claims/pay outs.

Is it any wonder with all the inflated claims and sue for anything culture.

Cars that are only worth €1k or €2k and repair bills of €850 and €1600 been paid out on such cars is rediculous.

There should be a system in place to return car to original before the crash yes but I believe in a lot of cases this is done to the extreme of huge inflated repair costs that could in a lot of cases be fitted with salvaged parts.

No had a 520 but a lot more miles per day means i traded in for a 320d

It does, even my E38 was only €505 when I had it. The V8 in the E66 seems to bump it into a "performance" bracket for some reason, lots of insurers wouldn't even quote.
