Not necessarily. How many cars in this or similar state are actually out there? It must be a very low number.

Land rover springs so cheap, that was probably a "get me down off the hill" temporary fix.

I think you will find that those ties are only for retaining the spring on full suspension droop while rock climbing!

Ps I dont know and have never laid eyes on the car.

Thats it. It looks like it has extended shocks, so the proper way to do it would have been with cones. But it wont effect the car in normal use.

Still, not very smart looking.
