Right main wheel and then left main touched and they still had to abort, scary, I remember only a few weeks ago a story on The Aviation Herald about a Ryanair aborting after touching and there was killings as the 'professional armchair pilots' said that the crew were not properly trained and real pilots would never do that.

Are you sure the wheels touched down? I didn't see any tire smoke. I'd be lightly touching the TOGA button all the way down that approach :-)

If you watch the slow replay, you can just about see some smoke behind that steel shed.

Mad stuff, I'm no expert or anywhere close but I really think they should have shot it back up almost instantly then. There should have been no further landing attempt after that first sway in the wind imo. Not to say that it was near danger level, and as I say I'm no expert, but that's the worst wind related attempted touchdown / neccessary go around I've come across.

The whole thing seemed too fast also but I guess that could be the camera angle playing tricks.

What do you consider to be "almost instantly"? I counted less than 2 seconds before the aircraft started climbing, its also worth remembering that although the engines will be in Flight Idle (or whatever airbus call it), its not instant power!

Well you'd know better than me (no sarcasm implied) so I guess that is the case but to me I usually notice by both sight and sound when they climb for a go around. To me I don't see it lifting off again until it's been bounced around twice. Apologies for the lack of sophisticated language.

Without knowing the wind, no one can comment on the approach speed, but bear in mind that they will have actually ADDED speed for the wind and gusts so it will actually be higher than a normal approach

And I'd be moving your fingers away from them!!
Had an occasion where the FO was resting his fingers on top of the TOGA switches as he flew the approach...a hefty thump of wake turbulence at about 100' and it caused him to accidentally press one of them. Back up and around again!
