He said he's taken something like four points hits in his FPL career (none this season)! Odds are still against him though to win it all and his uber cautious style could come back to haunt him for the last two DGWs.

Statistically that's much of a muchness I think.

Assuming there is a clean sheet:

If the fist choice keeper gets injured between 0-30 he'll get 1 and the sub will get 6/7.
If he gets injured 30-60 neither of them will get CS points.
If he goes off 60-90 first choice player will get CS points and the sub 1 point.

So you've a 33% chance one guy will get the CS points, 33% chance the other guy will get them and 33% chance neither will.

Done well on the captain vs VC captain thing to be fair, though some weeks (like last week with Kane) my highest scorer was neither captain or Vice. My total points if I'd always captained the highest scorer would be 1976

A lot of the time a keeper goes off though he has been sent off so you avoid his minus pts and have a keeper coming in with a chance to save a peno. Someone did analysis on FFS and playing the bench keeper is marginally the better decision . It's a non issue really just something me and jimmii were discussing a couple of weeks ago.

He hasn't taken any hits this season which is crazy enough but even crazier he said he had only taken 4 hits in the last 5 seasons HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE!! Insane patience he mentioned that he barely watches any football and given the time difference probably doesn't experience the frustration of near misses as much as the rest of us. Still an incredible run of luck injury wise to have taken so few hits over the years.

hmm my benched points are high but when I looked 97 were from my benched keeper and 76 were from benched defenders. the remaining 82 points come from benching midfielders and forwards. the worst are Sterling(15), Kane(18), Downing(20).

It goes into a lot more depth part of the value is in the times the starter gets a red card and the sub keeper gets a chance of a penalty save. Its an article worth reading even just out of curiosity as they go back and find every example of GKs going off its obviously pretty rare but interesting to see the difference the times it has happened.

Did you delete all the vertical lines in the table? Can't remember what mine was but I remember checking and it was 143rd place.

Sorry for the realisation but that was a great analysis you provided to all of us. Really interesting to see your moves in hindsight since I guess many of us did or eyed at least a similar one.

Just to be precise, I pointed Sturridge mainly from a statistical point of view. He is very marginally owned and has not been performing better than the most popular forwards. So you were bound to suffer from it.

Thanks for that. Delighted to see my bench points are so low. Having as cheap as chips a bench as possible is always the way IMO. I'm surprised to see my captaincy points are so high although I did have Harry at the weekend and had Aguero for a couple of large hauls.

I'm surprised to see that me C points are 30 points lower than my VC points (342-372) I have almost always VC Hazard, since I got him in GW5. (captained him twice) If I always captained him, I would probably be doing better.
