Your Favourite Building

What would be your favourite building? Is it an historical edifice or a modernist construction?

I have lots of buildings on my list that I like but the top of the list would be Gaudi's church of Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. It is an amazing structure that has taken over a century to build. Indeed, it is not yet finished but is due to be completed in the next decade.

The Guggenheim museum in Bilbao...who knew solid objects could be manipulated into such a fluid, free flowing terrific piece of art!

Seen it lots of times but never been in it, not my cup of tea, museums.

Barcelona is where all my next favourite buildings are. No 2 buildings the same. I like the big copper coloured fish at the end of the beach.

My favourite building is a pier. Its probably 200 years old anyway or more and not in use or hasn't been in some time. I often sat on it staring out across the Atlantic dreaming of heading west., tonight I sit and look upon the Pacific wondering was it a good dream to have.

Incidentally, my second and third favourite buildings in no particular order are both piers.
