Total is 1155. I'll check out a lower spec i7 and post links tomorrow. If you already have the HDD you've mentioned, all the better
Revoker88
^^Id say its an SSD your forgetting. You have a HDD in there.
eyelex1
Thank you will this in mind!
Digital Solitude
Do you have the hard drive already eyelex? I've priced a 1tb for a few euro cheaper just incase
eyelex1
No, I don't have a hard drive yet but I know which one I want to get.

I know you're a little over budget there. If you do a lot of video editing, then the i7 is pretty much needed, if it's not so much, you might be able to use an i5.
There's about a 30% performance increase, so 30% of 4 hours a week mightn't be worth the money, whereas 30% of 40 hours will be.
eyelex1
Thanks for that list but I probably should have specified that the video editing would be pretty basic and low level, but that's still looks pretty good! Thanks man.
Digital Solitude
Well if you're okay with an i5, you can get a better GPU and case and hit the budget squarely I think?
Your decision
eyelex1
Yeah, that's probably what I'll do. Thanks man!

Windows link is above. That leaves you €30 inside the budget
An
SSD
for your boot disk is €55. I'd recommend it too

Thanks Digital Solitude for the builds you put up.
I went for something similar to the i5 build. Just ordered it last night. Differences are I got an
optical drive
and a
250GB SSD
. I also dropped the GPU since I'll just be using it for software development. The BenQ is a good price for the screen size but I couldn't forgo the HDMI port. I went with two of
these
instead – so 2.5" less for a €20 saving and a HDMI port. Also doubled up on the RAM for the rare occasion I'd be running multiple VMs.
Also, is it normal for hardwareversand.de to only charge about €12 for an entire build including two monitors? It seems insanely cheap. A few years ago I was paying half that for Amazon to send me a paperback from the UK.
Digital Solitude
Yeah they use a €12 flat delivery charge.
Aswerty
I was just hijacking the thread. I'm not the OP.
Good to know the €12 wasn't a mistake.
