i'd imagine that other venues are already booked for other acts, either announced, or soon to be (probably from the TITP lineup), and this was one of the only ones available...

Definitely. Saw them twice and they always put on a great lively show. It's probably not the wort venue, it's just not a handy location.

Turns out the ground floor is standing, which I was surprised about.

The standing tickets were snapped up quickly. I got mine at 9.

Are the standing tickets gone? I only got into work at about twenty past nine and was able to get one.

The website is saying limited availability for standing.

A friend couldn't get standing tickets at about 10 but they seem to have been freeded up again now.

There are tickets available now.

Don't see a change of venue if it does sell out though, where could it go? The o2 is the only venue bigger in Dublin isn't it? Unless they were to move it to one of the outdoor venues, but you'd think they would have all of those booked up by now.

On the venue. I don't think I've ever been to a concert in the Helix. I have seen Modest Mouse in the Radisson in Galway though and thoroughly enjoyed it.
