What do ye reckon the team will be v Dublin? Big game for both players and managers of both teams, with a win likely to secure div1 status.
For that reason I cant see JBM making much changes to the team that started v Clare. With the lads hurling with Cork Colleges back now we probably see Cooper replace O Shea who didn't have a great game last time out and maybe Jamie Coughlan to get some game time. SON and Maccie to come back too, I can see one of them starting. Would like to see MacDonald replace Calahane. Big test too for Cormac Murphy who should come up against and in form Danny suttcliffe. We'll get to see how he does in Croke park also.
Id like to see Horgan at no11 but don't think we will. looking forward to the game now!!

Gonna be under pressure in Kerry game for sure.

Hats off to Fitzmaurice....he's done an amazing job.

Overloaded with attacking talent.

The best midfield in the country in Maher and Moran.

While individually and on paper the backs look there for the taking he has got them organised in a solid structure and they are never let exposed tactically.

I think Cork will put it up to them but our midfield is under serious pressure...It will be a great test of our defensive structure and let's see if we can out think Kerry for once.

Try and turn this game into a war of attrition and devise a plan to get enough good ball into both our ace forwards Hurley and O Neil.

Huge test of our management.

I did hear that Alan O'Connor was asked back to the panel last year at somee stage but turned Cuthbert down so I would say there is little chance of him coming back now.

Ya heard the same but no confirmation,not saying alan is the answer especially in croke park but where we are now we are way off the standard for midfield and not sure the likes of osullivan and kevin o driscoll are up to the middle third either.
if kerry were to win more ball then us there sunday which is likely we could be in for a long day,its only league but 2 losses on the trot followed by a trip north would have us right bavk into a relegation battle

Can't help feeling the midfield situation is a bit of mess largely of Cuthbert's own making - the injuries to Maguire and Deane obviously havent helped but the fact is that Dineen and O'Sullivan and O'Connor have all declined to be involved with the county while Walsh decided to go hurling.

I'm actually surprised that there hasn't been more negative reaction to the Donegal result - I watched it back and it was woeful stuff altogether from Cork while Donegal were only very average. Cork looked very much like a side who knew they already had 4 points on the board. I'd say the fact that it clashed with the rugby and was broadcast on delay meant that a lot less than usual bothered to view it.

The thing is though with 4 points on the board already and the form of Derry, Monaghan and Tyrone it's very hard to see Cork getting relegated now - especially when it looks like there is a serious chance that Derry will be relegated by the time Cork have to head there so will nothing to play for. I could easily see Mayo not hugely concerned about the result in that game especially if they manage to pull off a win against Dublin in round 5

Basically those 2 early wins against Dublin and Monaghan, which both could easily have ended up draws on another day, mean that Cork would really have to go on an awful run of form to end up getting relegated.

I would not be a Cuthbert fan - in fact, I think that he was very poor in a number of areas last season.

I would place a lot of blame for the dual debacle on him - I suspect that Frank appointed him mainly due to the fact that he was prepared to try the dual thing - I seriously doubt that Cleary would have entertained dualism. IMO - Cahalane and Walsh would still be playing football if Cleary had been appointed but Frank must take a lot of the blame - but he doesn't care.

I don't think Cuthbert is to blame for AOC retiring - he has 2 young kids and the travelling was a big factor too.

I think Cuthert was too hasty in ditching Pearse and Kissane but they would probably have gone this season in any event - it's hard to call that one.

What O Sullivan are you talking about ?

I don't know if Dineen and O Laoire were good enough for IC but it's a shame that they never got a chance - however, the selectors saw them in training so you've got to go with them on this one.

We were dire v Donegal but showed fight and had a chance to draw allbeit with Murphy's red.

IMO - the jury is still very much out on Cuthbert - the bar is set very high with the great job FitzMaurice is doing but that's the standard and anything less is not good enough for Cork.

Huge difference in quality of striking between both teams.

Cork striking was true, flat and accurate while Dublins striking is all on a loop...

Cork were lively upfront...hungry and deadly accurate good to see. Pity we didn't put the head down once or twice and go for goal though.
