Banning religions forces them underground, therein lies some of the problem. People should have the right to practise whatever nonsense they want as long as the rights of other's aren't affected. Religions should be made register with the state, have their account books open to audit, pay rates and property taxes etc.

Why eject someone with as much right to be here as you? Eject them where? Fair enough, if they are conspiring against the state and its jurisprudence, they forfeit all rights that state bestows.

in the UK for example there are sufis from pakistan who moved to the UK in the 60s or 70s, their children are now salafi/wahabbi because they went to saudi funded mosques, the same will happen here

too many western politicians are owned by the saudis, there would be less bribes for politicians and it might be bad for some areas of the economy, but like I said there is more to life than money

2. Help overthrow or allow them to be overthrown via internal revolutions.

In other words there are no good options when it comes to the middle east, only terrible ones. The choice almost always is choosing between mass murdering secular leader or mass murdering religious fanatics.

The Americans supply Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jordan, Israel, Egypt and several more states in the region with top of the range military assets, all to keep groups like ISIS at bay. And your suggestion then is the west shouldn't supply these governments, stay out of the middle east and so on. We could do that, and allow the likes of ISIS and AQ take over these countries which they would. Perhaps that would make the non interventionists happy.
