What would you like to do for your wedding if you had limitless money?

For me I think id like to have an orchestra play ceremony and drinks reception and a huge lively swing band for the party.

I'd have an open bar and pay everyone's accommodation. Maybe fireworks at midnight.

Sounds lovely.

I'd do an open bar, accommodation paid for, loads and loads of food.

I'd just try pay for everything for my guests so that they don't have to go to expense for my wedding.

Yea if money were no object id just pay for absolutely everything for all guests (rooms, all drink, all transport etc etc).

But if there were specifics id say my priority would be free bar... (Hmmm... Does that say something about me...). Lol

O also, Id hire and pay beauticians and hairdressers/barbers in (or use the hotels facilities)... and all our guests could go to them to get their hair, makeup, tan, nails, massage, brows etc etc done. The morning of or night before wedding. And for the men, their hair, proper shave , massage or whatever. Would be a nice treat

I'd have my reception in the central hall of the Natural History Museum in London, with the tables arranged around the diplodocus. Of course I would fly everybody over to London and pay for their accommodation and a free bar too, since I have unlimited money

Fireworks. New Age rituals with handfasting. Great wine and food. Everyone's favourite music. Uninhibited celebrations ;-) much kissing and er, ah...
oh, and everyone to have treasured memories of it: and a gift to keep and cherish as a memento. And their own marriages and/or relationships to be enriched and reassured by the contact with ours.

Its been decades since I got married-for-real, and we haven't done so badly. But in Magic-Wish-Land, the above is what I would like to do.

Instead of inviting people I would have ice sculptors of everybody I would want to invite, I would have long philosophical debates which each and every ice sculpture. If money were no object I would have already lost my mind so that would be normal.

Actually got married back in August and must say I can't think of anything else we could of had that would have cost us more money. Had drinks reception in a castle after the ceremony with finger food. More bites when arrived at hotel. Open bar for part of the night. BBQ the next day for close friends and family.

I'd get married in the Staircase hall in the Titanic museum in Belfast and if have a replica of my Nana's wedding dress made. They're my only two dream essentials for my wedding, whenever that happens. I'd also cover all costs to make sure that I could have everyone I want there.

In dream land where I'm richer than rich I'd fly everyone I wanted to invite to Vegas for a week First Class, stay in the Bellegio and get married and have the best reception ever and then just party for the week all expenses paid by me.

Thank god it's limitless money. The NHM are getting rid of Dippy. Maybe if you paid them a whole heap of money they would retain him for the wedding. :pac:

If money were no object, I'd pay for accommodation for all my guests. Any guests coming in from abroad, I'd have flown in by private jet (which I'd own, incidentally, seeing as I'd be unfathomably rich). Anyone coming from within Ireland I'd arrange to have chauffeured in my personal fleet of luxury limousines.

Apart from those things, I don't think there's anything else I'd change. I suppose I'd take another week on our honeymoon - we only went for a week because my husband was in college and couldn't take any longer time off.

Or else, what I'd do is go back to Paris on a second honeymoon, and bring our little boy, so he could see all the bits he'd seen in our photos.

Similar here. We had an open bar until the band finished and it was the best money we spent, along with lots of food. No one remembers the dress I wore or the centrepiecas we made but I still get comments on our free bar. I would've had someone decorate our venue professionally and maybe had a different menu. Wouldn't change much else.

Oh weak!! I think if the money was no object we would still go for the place we have picked but maybe I would have a co-ordinator. Just to do all the decorating on the day before hand, not that I am not looking forward to it but just so I wouldn't be paniciky thinking will people like it. And so they can pick things up like the red carpet, the dressing of one of the rooms..

Food that would be my guilty pleasure, Ohh the thought I think I might have a little section of places with different things. Or maybe something like Crab claws from Caseys of Baltimore, Fresh oysters served with a little shot of Guinness, the more crab claws to roast on the bbq later on.. Them maybe a nice relaxed bbq with table service (which is what we are going for really) but I would have a wider variety of food. Quail, Pheasant ohh yes and some hare.. And then of course venison for himself...

Have never ending flow of bubbly and fireworks after..

mmmm oh I cant wait even saying this now, this is more of less what we are doing bar the food haha there will be no crab claws, oysters of most defiantly hare..

I believe they're not installing the blue whale in the hall until 2017, so I've still got some time to actually get engaged and receive this amazing windfall of endless money

If money was no object, I think I'd still keep the same format of a family only civil wedding but I'd:
Keep the same dress I have, its The One. Move it to a stunning location, fly all guests there first class and put them up in luxury all expenses paid suites.

I'd get a celebrity chef to put on an amazing meal for us. And I'd hire Kings of Leon and Foo Fighters and a few other bands to get the place rocking.

I'd have an amazing honeymoon too.

Oh wow, it's nice to dream. If money were no object my wedding would be quite different from the normal hotel wedding it was...

First I would employ somebody to organise my wedding. I would also pay for wedding guests' transport, accommodation and all food and drink.

Everyone would stay in a set of comfy and cute holiday homes in a beautiful location in Ireland. Probably two days, for those who wanted to stay that long (or more!) There would also be a hall in the holiday complex large enough for a sit down dinner for all the guests. The wedding day would include a hike for those who would be interested. For those who stayed behind there would be a nice area in the complex to relax and drink coffee admiring the beautiful view. There would also be books, board games, computer games and DVDs to keep them entertained. The ceremony would be outdoors in a beautiful location, as late as possible in the day. The weather would, of course, be lovely (whoops, did I say this was going to be in Ireland?!!!) In the evening our guests would enjoy an amazing dinner and be entertained after by a brilliant band. For those who didn't want to dance there would be an area near the dancing where they could go and chat / relax. The next day we would head out for another walk to clear our heads and there would be really good quality healthy but tasty food available all day.

The whole complex would be decorated beautifully with lots of greenery and fresh flowers!

I would also get the wedding dress of my dreams made for me...

I would invite all the same guests that we had at our wedding but the afters people would also attend the whole day.

Money no object... would have kept everything mostly the same, but invited loads more people. All my cousins for a start. And for all those people, would probably go with a few different music things going at the same time in different areas. I wonder is bjork for hire.

Science Museum in London, fly everyone over, cover their accomodation somewhere nice, open bar and invite enough people to fill the place properly - my work Christmas party was there in 2013 and it really needs a party of 250-300.

I'd probably try and plan something interesting for a second day too if money was really unlimited - private box at a Premier League game?

Would an open bar for the whole event really be a good idea though I wonder?

I know it's the norm in many countries on the continent (and indeed many Europeans raise an eyebrow at having to pay for drinks at Irish weddings), but would Irish people tend to go bananas altogether on an open bar resulting in many more guests than is the norm making drunken shows of themselves?
