If you want something cheap an cheerful the Bangernomics thread can have a few good ones, such as the Seicento below

Asssuming from the post, you are a young, inexperienced driver.
Suggestions are smaller engine the better, you'll be penalised for larger CCs
Putting it on parents insurance and you as named driver, commonly called fronting.

Suck it up and get your own insurance, it'll probably work out cheaper in the long term as you build up ( hopefully ) a claim free relationship with your insurer
As to cars, quick search €500-€1000 brought these up

that seicento is clapped looking.
if i wanted something a little stylish looking with a bit of kit, look at 2000 and newer puntos or if you just want solid reliability and don't care about much else, probably a 2002 or older micra.

Moved to Buying, keep an eye on Bangernomics thread. Something should come along.
