Stag weekend

Help!!!!

My mates invited me to his stag weekend. He wants us to pay E250 each not including accommodation
The E200 is the cost of entry to night club, laser combat, bubble soccer, transport & a couple of other things
Is this worth it? I don't mind paying if we're getting a good deal

Is it in another country? Or where is it in relation to where you are?

The stag do that is run by companies tend to be more on the expensive side but if you went out and organised it all yourself it probably wouldnt be long adding up either.

It's a lot of money, but stags are usually expensive enough. It's always good to have *some* activity involved so you dont just stay in a bar for the entire weekend and they are decent craic but it just comes down to if you can afford it or not ya know.

My boyfriend has gone on stag weekends to Poland and Liverpool for less than that - very expensive before adding travel / accommodation

For context, a bunch of us went from Dublin to Galway for similar activities and it was 70e pp and then another 70 for two nights accomodation.

It seems pricey, as to whether its value it depends on what the couple of other things are , for example is it a meal , drinks etc

Likewise is the transport for buses/taxis to and fro to each event? If you can provide a bit more detail then folks here should be able to give you a more accurate answer

Sounds like a complete rip off.. not sure if your friend is being completely honest about the price.. We went on a hen with canoeing dinner, overnight stay and it cost maybe around €100 don't think it was even that.

I would be kindly declining and saying you would meet him in the pub later, even if you went up and stayed you could just sort yourself out and meet them for drinks

While I wouldn't go there about the honesty, the advice is sound. Nothing wrong with giving an excuse and meeting up for a few drinks later.

Ah its rare if never happens that that malarky happens on stags.

Chances are they have gone through a company and thrown in all the trimmings and activities and there's probably a meal or two included. We wont know until the OP tells us more.

Get the organiser to give a list of exactly what's being done and the cost of each.

You are being completely ripped off here. A quick google shows laser combat €30 pp and bubble football €15 pp. Transport maybe €20 and entry to nightclub €10 so that's €75... How could these "bits and pieces" then cost an extra €175 if there's not even accommodation included? A meal would prob be €25 pp. Sounds like your mate is pulling a fast one tbh.

A mate of mine is arranging mine and for €250 we are getting return flights to Cardiff, accommodation for 2 nights with b & b, bubble football and entry into 3 night clubs with a couple of free gargles.

In fairness to the OP , we have no idea if he's getting done or getting value for money. He hasn't told us where he is going in relation to where he lives, is he flying , renting a private bus etc
The 250 could very well include a flight to the UK or to Cork or wherever.

Also seems like an awful lot of activities to be doing on a stag...
its' hard enough to get the lads up out of bed/pub for one activity.

well if the place is untidy if you were renting a house..I cant say I know many who would just laze around without tidy the place up..Id be up with me spray gun and dust buster

someone commented saying that men don't really do much, that even activities if they were paying that much and had a **** load of them on,it just doesn't sound like a mans way of doing things.. then I said this and that..Dont stress yourself tis ok
