This thread is for discussion of the ENIGMA operating system on ST7162 Based Satellite & Terrestrial Combo Receivers

GM Triplex

Enigma is a Linux based alternative to the default Spark operating system on these boxes. Enigma is a more customisable OS and provides the ability to add plugins which can accomplish many tasks enabling users to have a box which might look and perform like a Sky box, giving a 7 day EPG and an alternative to series link

sorry fp another question, when my box wakes up from standby the tv screen is black until i press ok which then brings up the channel listing, and sometimes the box just says starting and wont come on until i reboot it , any ideas please?

Press Ok ,
Channel list should come up
Go to BBC 1
Press Menu
Options will come up , one of them is " Set As start up Channel "

I've got Fresh Pots latest HY4.5 installed on AA2.
Works fine. - an odd freeze but that's ok.

When turned on it starts on RTE1.

Is there a way to get it to come on and startup on BBC1 ?

I've explored all options and cannot see how to do this

I'm watching live tv and I press pause. 2 minutes later I come back and want to fast forward a little I press ok again to resume play and press the right direction button (the one to the right of the ok button, not any of the ones below the coloured buttons).

I'm calling it a night now. If your still having this problem you can remove historyzap and download a similar one that may not use those buttons.

Nope mate its the old media center that comes up. It has the option to asign another button like tv or radio and timeshift but I loose timeshift I I use that and the other buttons green screen when I assign them even after rebooting the box

You cant use dreambox edit to install Hyperion. Look here for instructions

I have the image set so it looks to the hdd (/hdd/picon) so just copy the entire picon folder over to your harddrive.
