This thread is for discussion of the ENIGMA operating system on ST7162 Based Satellite & Terrestrial Combo Receivers

SAB Unix Tripple
GM Triplex

Enigma is a Linux based alternative to the default Spark operating system on these boxes. Enigma is a more customisable OS and provides the ability to add plugins which can accomplish many tasks enabling users to have a box which might look and perform like a Sky box, giving a 7 day EPG and an alternative to series link

You need the exact frequencies, what mast? Work out the frequencies from the channels, mhz is a thousand so to scan for channel 53 you would scan on 730000

It depends on what you want to do. If you are only using Oscam, then a USB wifi stick will be perfect. Bandwidth is very small. Also, if you planned to control the box with something like DreamDriod, again, that's perfect. However, if you plan to stream from the box around your house to a Laptop or tablet, then, for best results, go wired (via homeplugs if necessary)

Have you changed the tuner from default cable tuner to terrestrial tuner in tuner settings? You need to do this with some images. Also you might need terrestrial xml updated.

Hi,

I recently installed Champions OpenAR-P SAB Solo/8900 Image on my alien 8900.

I previously used Hyerion 4 were i could use a dlna browser.

With the Champions OpenAR-P SAB Solo/8900 Image there is no dlna browser plugin.

I use the dlna browser to access the usb port on my vodafone router and steam video.

where can i get a plugin or is there another way to access this shared location.

Deleted crossepg folder and that seems to have resolved that issue. Thought I had done that already.

On another note I updated the software today and box fell over. Stuck on boot for over 10 min. Thankfully I had done a back up just before

Best not to update if its working leave it alone kind of thing
What openATV suggest is reflash with the latest build which can be a pain

update the scan for soarview is ok now. But the channels are not in the numbers would like ie 101 etc. can't find any working soarview channels although know it found them

You need to put them there, scanning puts them in all channels list

They should be in a bouquet called "last scanned". See instructions in this thread on how to move them to favourites.

When I go into crossEPG config, the only options that I see are internal flash and Corp. I have it set to corp, but crossEPG now crashes during it's nightly update.

Is Corp the correct setting? Do I need to do something extra to allow it to use the HDD?

Someone said before that it picks up the name of your HDD so it must have an identity where it begins with "Corp"

Go into your HDD and delete the whole CrossEPG directory and then retry downloading again manually before trying it scheduled

As Champ said it picks up the name of the drive on mine it says MaxIII for the maxtor 3 drive
To confirm you could switch off your box and disconnect the drive then reboot and check the config see if it still has corp as a storage
I had same trouble last week with cross epg would not update kept bluescreening when I tried
Deleted the directory uninstalled and reinstalled no difference would not have it so I uninstalled again and now letting it use the built in epg in openATV

HOWEVER, the recording issue only occurs if you interfere with a timed recording that has already commenced. If you have a recording in progress, just leave it alone !!!

True man not such a big deal now I know if you leave it its grand, still would like to see a fix. But as you say if you want to record it in the first place why mess with it.

Press the yellow button and select ac3 then ok
Think it comes back on though after you go off that channel

Only ever noticed it on CBBC HD so I think maybe if you tune the SD version you wont get the narration
But would not be 100% sure of this

also check system / audio
See if there is an option to prefer AC3

I know where to turn it off when on a channel via the yellow button but that doesn't turn it off completely once you change channels though..

Lads I just flashed champs newest atv and after a full scan a lot of channels are greyed out, for example I have ss5 but no other sports, I noticed the scan only found 400 odd channels instead of the usual 900 odd, any ideas?
