Careless people. My brother has no interest in farming, but because he has balls and I dont, he thinks he would do a better job and sure what would I know about it. There's two entrances into one of the bigger sheds. Both have slats outside with slurry underneath it.

Me and my oh were on the farm today. He knows nothing about being on farms, so he has an excuse. My brother had pulled the slat up off the slurry pit and left the whole entire thing exposed. It was so full that it was on a level with the ground and just looked like mud. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed this just before the OH went to walk across it. So, my oh almost drowned/gassed himself in 6 odd foot of slurry. What sort of an idiot would leave something like that exposed?

Then as we were walking around to the other exit, I opened the door which was off its hinge and it fell back on me. Luckily it was one half of the door rather than a entire full length door.

My brother, where's he today? The pub. Both of us having close encounters on the farm he can't be bothered with and he's gone to the pub.

I wouldn't bet on it. I get mad about something I might have dreamed about, I have horrid dreams, and God help him if he was mean to me in my dream. And of course I can't tell him the real reason I'm raging with him so I'll blow up over nothing

Say to sales person 'can I have one of those please' He starts to try and sell me a different one - NO I'll have one of those ones NO I don't want a gold plated HDMI lead and NO I don't want one of your extended warranties - Just get me the feckin' telly.

Yeah my sister got me a Xmas gift last week, a decent coffee filter machine, but the sales assistant told her it was one of the latest ones with a coffee grinder built in to it, so they also got me a sack of Lavazza coffee beans. When I opened it up, it was just a coffee filter machine really, but still happy with it, although my sister is now TA with the salesman and his talk and she feels she let me down, she didn't. It gives me an incentive to buy a grinder now. I don't know if that is normal practise in Harvey Normans, but to lie about a product is a bit low really, just to make a sale. Unfortunately there is no branch in Galway and I have started using it now, so no comeback there.

Generally I'll have a fair idea too (although I have had the being pissed off at me for something that happened in her dreams too!) but there's always the risk that I'm wrong and if I own up to something she doesn't know about she'll be doubly pissed off, so it's better to play dumb.

It helps that I get a perverse pleasure in taking 'I'm fine :mad:' at face value until she has to tell me that she's not :-)

Where do you suggest they leave them? A lot of people don't want to leave a bag on the floor in case any sc.umbags decide to help themselves to the content. Not to mention the pox filled slime that coats the floor of most peasant wagons

Repeat text messages from hospitals. Got a text reminder last week to text yes or no as to whether or not I'd be attending the appointment this week. I replied that I would be attending. Just got another text from the same hospital about the same appointment asking me to confirm whether or not I'd be attending my appointment this week. Bloody waste or resources. Don't get me wrong, I think text reminders are a good idea, I just think that once you've responded to the text they should leave it at that.
