Aguero has to go (price wise and honestly can't play 4 def)
I need a GK, Panti's on a good run and has tasty fixtures.
With 3 of my def at home (Naylor has Spurs, Baines has QPR and Wisdom have Villa) maybe there's no rush for a Chelsea def for an additional -4.

A good teacher always encourages his pupils to think outside the box. Ye looks like you have no need for a Chelsea def this week. You could do courtoius instead of panti and then O Shea for Wilson in time as an alternative.

What do people think about taking a hit for a goalkeeper? They aren't that volatile when it comes to price rises or falls and it's very easy for them to go from scoring 6, to scoring 2, leaving you -2 on the transfer for the week. Obviously if you're taking a long-term view and intending on bringing in a new keeper as a long-term replacement it's perfectly fine, but in a week where lots of people have as many as 6 injuries/suspensions to contend with, I would have thought bringing in a keeper would be a very low-priority.

Berahino -> Sakho

Means I'd start with a team like this:

Guzan
Clichy - Terry - Baines - Naylor - Wisdom
Sanchez - Siggy - Hazard
Dzeko - Sakho

I'd only have one available sub in Boyd because Fabregas and Austin are suspended. And that's the risk. I don't want to be swayed too much from my original plan by the injury/suspension feast last week. I had pre-planned City defensive coverage, with Dummett leaving and getting rid of Berahino. So the only enforced sub is Aguero. Still leaves me on course to bring in Silva for Fabregas and Costa for Dzeko later on.

Any thoughts?

Its a no brainer to bring in a replacement if you have a Krul/Elliot/Mannone situation of no playing goalkeeper for the foreseeable future. You get back the -4 in ~2 game weeks and it has none of the potential downside associated with a normal transfer (i.e., no possibility of the player you are getting rid of outscoring the player coming in).

Yes, On sunday i had only 8 players available for next week.
Krull/Elliot Both Injured as was Duff and Aguero with Chambers, Austin and Fabregas all suspended, that left me with just 8.
Already done Krul -> Pantimillion and Fab -> Hazard for a -4. I will still have to get rid of Aguero to get my 11th Starter, but I'll wait until after wednesday to decide. That will mean a -8 in total but it's worth it as I am sure the replacements will bring me in more than 8 pts....

I had 2 FT's this week and used one yesterday on bringing Bony in for aguero.

I'm unsure about where to use my second transfer (and do I need a third)

My team is as follows

Heaton - Krul

Hutton - Baines - Bertrand - Wilson - Cahmbers

Eriksen - Sanchez - Boyd - Siggy - Cesc

Bony - Costa - Kane

Wilson is a doubt, I couldn't read it when I changed him to yellow.

I have 4.2 in the bank and can just about field a team this week without making anymore transfers but with 1 free i'm looking at a couple of options.

A) Wilson to azpi - I don't like stoke's fixtures and presently have no Chelsea defensive cover

krul to Courtois - Burnley's fixtures get tricky too and although i'd ideally prefer a keeper in the 4.5 region that rotates with Heaton I wouldn't be completely against getting courtois.

C) cesc to hazard or ya ya. this is my least favoured option at the moment as I want to keep cesc and he's only gone for 1 match, it also doesn't help fix my weakfish defence which a or b does but am I really mad not to have hazard?

@iroced, my confidence is at a low after my RVP blunder.... But I'm hoping Sahko does the business. If you watch the highlights it will give you a lot of confidence in him.

But tbh, I'm fearful of this Aguero -> X decision. There are just too many good options imo.

But saying that, I pulled the trigger last night and I'm liking seeing Sahko up front with Costa for this week.

Agreed, you are probably going to have to take a hit to bring in a keeper in a future week, meanwhile you are losing points not having one.
Pantimillion's last 4 weeks have been 9, 10, 0 ,6 having played Chelsea, city and Liverpool in that time, his fixtures are a lot easier for the next while.
For me it's a no brainer to bring him in now for a hit as I have other transfers to make next week and if I don't do it now it will cost me a hit next week anyway.

I'll just add that in a week where most will take hits to accomodate their injuries/suspensions, I actually could field 10 in a 4-5-1 formation. Aguero has to go with my FT so that I cash in my £0.4m profit on him. Then whether I go for Yaya or not (which would be a different hit in itself) I think this is precisely the week to take a hit on a GK. Panti is on 4, 10 and 0 (was Aguero wondershow though) at home which is 4.67 pts/home game. Hme to an in form WH this week-end.

The amount of viable Aguero replacements scares me too. Especially considering that if I've been pretty well inspired in (timing) my transfers out this year I didn't really have the golden hand regarding my transfers in...
But as I detailed yesterday evening, Sakho stats and WH upcoming fixtures are hard to ignore...

If Clichy was guaranteed to start every games he'd be a no brainer but...
Having said that he started the last 8. I haven't followed this at all so don't know if Kolarov was injured or if Clichy has gained a starting position.

Then your gamble of playing 5 at the back for keeping both Austin and Fabregas could actually work out well this week sinc eyour 5 defs have a very decent chance of a CS.

About your transfer, Sakho for Berahino sounds perfect.
If you can wait for Man City CL game to decide on Dzeko. Aguero will certainly drop tonight so it's up to you if you can swallow a £0.1m loss on him or not.

A and B sound good. A offers more pts potential with Azpi getting forward (and Wilson & Stoke are useless this year) while Courtois doesn't get many pts from saves. Courtois should be nailed on for the whole Christmas period though. I don't know how much Azpi is a rotation risk compared to Terry for example. Last year terry started all 4 games though.

About C. Well Hazard hasn't produced as much as he could have. But despite that and the many opportunities he missed he 's matching Cesc returns. He also started the 4 Christmas games last year by the way (and I don't remember what Wenger was doing with Fab back then). The thing with Hazard is the more you wait the less you'd be able to afford him.
Re Yaya. He's on a glorious run. If you get him in though it has to be mid-term until he leaves for ACON. So that could reduces your options upfront for example. In fairness I'm very tempted by Yaya. His 4 YC are holding me off... for the moment.

I haven't being following City that closely. I just assumed Clichy is first choice and he's a BP hoover this season. I do have the money for Zab or Kompany (back in training now) instead. Clichy was just my choice.

I would prefer to see how City line up in attack before taking out Aguero because Jovetic is back in training now as well. I think I'll do Aguero -> Sakho today and save that 0.1m. Then make a decision on a City attacker after the CL game.

Arfield isn't a bad option for an injury crisis week like this. He has as much potential as Boyd imo.

Kolarov was injured and has just returned. He and Clichy will rotate I'd expect. Last season Kolarov was more usually played against weaker teams where he could attack at will, while Clichy was played in tougher games.

Zab is probably more secure, but Sagna will get the odd game.

Will be interesting to see which of them start tomorrow night as Zab has only been rotated for 3 PL games, and has played the last 4 in a row (the most all season) while Sagna was started against Bayern.

If Zab plays v Roma I'd be slightly worried he'll be rested vs Leicester.
