    3 litre petrol...auto...

A lovely motor and probably worth every penny.

But not in Ireland. In Ireland where you're penalised for having a nice car. Backwards tax system.

Lol. €3900 for a nearly 12 year old jaded petrol A4 with 191k miles:

Even a diesel one would struggle to sell at that price not mind the weedy 1.6 petrol. But I guess that "Nurburgring" sticker on the boot adds value.

Used to be a great dealer, was selling a crazy amount of cars, bought my first 4 cars off him and my dad probably bought 10, but for some reason standards have dropped and prices increased, I know there are personal reasons and the eye is off the ball, so its a pity.

    Tiger economics.
"If I sell 100 pieces at €10 each, I make €1000. But if I now charge €20, i will have doubled my income, ding, ding, ding, ding, jackpot! Why isn't everyone as smart as me!"
Meanwhile he hasn't noticed it's not 2006 anymore.
Usually what happens to these people: "Wow, I am making bugger all money, whatever shall I do? I got it! Sell it for €30 each! My god, how smart I am! Hey, why is my shop gone bust?! It's all de gubbermint's fault!"

I think "arsehole, next!" when looking through ads. The reg hiding is another clincher.
So, reg hiding plus sh*t attitude from the word go, no thanks.

Plus he says it's low mileage, then doesn't say what that mileage is.

It's (almost) a pity. Good ad, good pictures, very pricey but obviously a well looked after motor and then to sabotage himself with shouting at prospective buyers before they've even made up their mind to call him, hide the reg and gloss over the mileage.
Add all that up and you can be sure that this ad will re-appear in a few weeks time with
"READVERTISED DUE TO TIMEWASTERS!!! DO NOT RING ME TO WASTE MY TIME! NO CASH, NO DRIVE! I AM NOT LONELY, SO NOT LOOKING TO CHAT, NO BULLSH*T, HAND OVER THE CASH AND FCUK OFF!"

He can spell better than most Irish advertisers, including dealers.
I do give him points for spelling brakes correctly, most posters on most motor forums can't get that right.

It could be the best example in the country, if I were in the market (and had the cash), I wouldn't go near it with that attitude tbh. Pet hate of mine.

Don't know if its a dreamer, but I think someone might sit on this car for a while with this kind of mileage.

A couple of zeros too many. You'd have difficulty scrapping that. Never mind selling it.

Still relevant to this thread for that price.

To be fair, if they're looked after (99% aren't) they're worth a bit but nowhere near what that lad is asking.

The mark iv is more sought after.

Yeah, the old "call her vintage and add a zero" gag. never gets old.

I think its bemusing enough the way he mentions its totally original except the CD yet he also mentions its got xenon bulbs; a custom paint job ; clear glass wrap around indicator and it would also seem apparent its got aftermarket wheels- if not they are certainly painted.

I would seem like a lot of work and care went into it but I reckon theres a higher chance of hell freezing over than him getting anything near 24k sterling for it.

i can't see that selling unless he drops the zero.

clean yeah, mega low mileage too, but who in their right mind would.

what would you do with it, there are far more interesting "classics" out there if you have €3k to spend and if you want a starlet to carry a hape of tools in the back of, you'l buy one for €500 and it'l be just as reliable.

Seriously Expensive yes. But that's seriously clean for its age. Surly you'll get someone that's into starlets that would pay over 2k for that maybe I'm wrong. Would you get them as clean and original as that one easily I wouldn't have thought so. But I know literally nothing about starlets so maybe they are easier to get than I'm thinking.
