I know this is probably just paranoia on my part, but I always feel that Sky generally make a habit of not showing Irish players unless they are in overall contention and even then, cover can be somewhat sparing.

To be fair, they really seem to like Shane and talk him up when we see him......WHEN we see him....he really has to be in contention before they show him.

All non U.K players really not just Irish. The thing is as soon as Shane is in contention they really hype him up. The poorest aspect of Sky's coverage is how often they might show a decent approach and never follow up with the putt. Also as I've said before they're well able to moan about their U.S feed.

I agree. But I would guess that Sky have a lot more subscribers to their Sports channels in Ireland than in most other European countries (outside the UK). I just find it incredibly frustrating.

Well, in fairness, they showed his birdie attempt....missed, so just a par.

Lovely putt from Shane on his last.....just shaved the hole. 70 - good round after that start.

Yes, a good recovery from a shaky start. Pity that neither of those birdie putts dropped on the last two holes.

There are birdies galore out there today, so he really needed to do better. I would have loved him to even shoot 69.......sounds much better than 70.....but delighted with that run of birdies to get him back into the tournament.

Yes, of course I am. He has been going so well, I suppose I just expect ..... or more truthfully, I hope for...... the best all the time. Probably unreasonable of me.

Started like a house on fire today. -3 thru 3 and -5 for the tournament.

Superb start to round 2.
-4 for first 4 holes.

Make that -5 after 5.

What a start from him today but has slowed down since. Needs 2 or 3 birdies coming in to keep pace with poulter who looks unmatchable at the moment.

finished on -7 in the top 10 so far, thats what was on sky sports this morning, Jesus he must of been out early if his round was finished by 9! Can't much of a time zone in Turkey.

Been glued to this since before I even got up! Fabulous from Shane. Hope he can just hold it together in he wind.

The only weakness I see in his game is those short putts.
