Ran a diagnostics on it there, got a P1301 code which is a misfire in cyl 1, still doesnt explain the whooshing though, gona try swap plugs and see if it comes up as 1302

When my car had a misfire it was the ignition coil. It too was juddering due to being unbalanced as one cylinder wasn't firing.

It has a coilpack yeah, but i replaced that 4 months ago, couldn't have gone bad already

still could be a coil pack or spark plugs .... i hope its one of those anyway.

after that it gets bad.

Did you replace the plugs too? I've read the main cause of them(the ignition coil) going is the spark plug gap being too wide.

If its the coil pack I'll throw in the other one i have :pac: and hope that its not the turbo or something

Yep changed the plugs, they're due to be changed anyways, so i'll get a set and see if its them

If it is, they're not that expensive to buy, the garret ones at least, the td04s are around 500 new, garrets are about 170, new oil lines, and so on, clear the sump and strainer, and jobs a good un

Well, yeah, there are better deals and generally better cars to be found in the UK. And even with VRT and travel costs I'm saving a lot of money on this going to the UK. Bar my own RCZ, the only other 1.6 THP 200 bhp model in the country belongs to Peugeot Ireland, so with rare cars like it I don't have much of a choice.

I'm buying a Toyota GT86 and giving my girlfriend the RCZ. I looked at everything with her; DS3 cabriolet, MX5, Punto Abarth and there was a problem with all of them. She likes the RCZ and I like the GT86, so its a win-win.

Thats right, €750 - even on the cc based system its about the same. Plus I pay a similar amount on the RCZ so indeed it won't break the bank.

Anyone have a 10mm Square Drive? Or know where to get one? Most motor factors dont have one and I don't want to go spending a fortune buying a kit with them all in it. Reluctant to use a 3/16th head.

A woosh, loss of power and inability to Rev is a common one on the turbo scene

I'd reckon you've blown off a intake hose, jubilee clip moved out of place or gave, pipe split etc.

Big wooshes and coils don't go together.
You'll get a misfire reading as the lack of air needed to burn the fuel will cause one.

I'd be 99% sure on that too
