Going to a kids 1st Birthday Party / Fancy Dress on Saturday daytime.... so very very very very tempted to casually tell people around the 5/6pm mark "sure we'll have to head away in 30 mins, we're going to a big halloween ball in Silversprings" and act like it's the most natural thing in the world and hasn't been in the news

Great publicity for the hotel all the same, it's no different to any other initiatives a business would dream up to try and attract people to stay in their hotel. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but it'll attract far more people and repeat custom than those who weren't interested in staying in the hotel in the first place.

I wouldn't 'swing', just not my thing. I'd say that the craic in the place would be mighty. Would love to have a few scoops in the bar, watching who is hooking up with who. Interesting at breakfast too I'd say

I have a strange feeling she asked not to be named as she either:

a) never rang the hotel to complain.
b) she is still going but thought she'd sell the story for a few quid.
c) she's a local and is not actually staying in the hotel at all and doesn't want to be recognized by friends/family or neighbours
d) works for the hotel and is trying to generate some free publicity for the hotel
e) as M. Happy said, she wants to get her hotel room for free.
