Nothing will be done here. Remember, the State considers these thugs not as its enemy, but those citizens who object to paying twice for their water. Just watch the resources that will be called upon to deal with the latter (including those lucky enough not to have their fancy mobile phones stolen from them).
The law is an ass in both the way we administer justice in this country and the the way our guards handled this situation.Where are the legal representatives ie,solicitors and barristers who represented these thugs for their own financial gain to free these thugs from justice.Would they like to wake up if it were one of their wives or loved ones killed by these thugs. My sincerest sympathy to the family of the this lady.
Simply drag these thugs from their hospital beds and leave the scumbags on the side of the road so they can experience the pain of the unfortunate lady who died. We have the parasites of the legal system screwing us and the criminals giving us the two fingers, but what will change from this. Nothing until the people of this country take to the streets and demand action.
The smug judges, solicitors and barristers may as well admit that it is they who are directly responsible for this woman's death. They and the posh clubs that represent them are talking shops and useless, they have abused the trust of the Irish people for far too long now and gotten away with it just like the criminals. They have used the revolving door system to expand their extremely valuable franchise it is all self serving meanwhile the public pay the full price of judicial cowardice and incompetence. Let's not forget they are all political appointments' either directly or by a nod to the judicial appointments board. It's as bad a failure as the political system itself.
20 previous convictions for car theft and burglaries..... and 20 times a barrister, a solicitor and a whole legal system , .. all dipped into the free legal aid pot and benefited from this guy being let out time and again by a judge.... even after two or three times the judiciary any other country would have taken these people off the street. It appears the free legal aid system is there more to help professionals to enjoy a nice cosy income rather than help genuine people who find themselves having to defend themselves in court.. Imagine how many barristers, solicitors, ..even the judiciary would be out of a job if we did not have a system that allowed criminals out on bail or given a fine...time and again when they clearly should be locked up .... but instead they are allowed out only to commit more crime which inevitably will lead to the free legal aid system being dipped into again and again. It appears to me the free legal aid system is being manipulated to provide a fine income for a whole swathe of professionals.

They are the first to come out with a statement when they feel travellers are hard done by but very quite on subjects like traveller gangs robbing blind.

If the owner of the funeral parlour or relative of the innocent dead women were related to the Editor of the IT they'd unlikely have the same enlightened view which allows them to mount their high horse and look down on the rest of Irish society.

We hear that a prison space costs X per year. How much is it costing to process the scum every time they appear in court, what is the cost of the crime, how much welfare are they receiving every week?http://www.independent.ie/irish-news/news/fatal-crash-car-was-chased-after-crime-spree-30691770.html So let me get this straight, these scum are costing us an absolute fortune with the current situation, yet we cant afford to lock them up? Morally its depraved!
