I hated that box from day one. How cheap do you have to be to put one on, they were only a few quid less than the proper box!!!

166 was always meant to be civilized and quiet compared to the 156 :cool:

It does. The plan is to change it. I kind of like the quiet though...

I have. I drove a previous posters one. At the time I drove it the exhaust ended before any silencers so it was louder for a start! The 166 is a very different experience. Much more of a motorway muncher, very very quiet car with no real sensation of speed so you have to be careful! Might have hit 80 MPH today between Ashford and Rathnew, Just wasn't paying attention

Had the 166 out for it's first drive in the wet today and pressed on a bit. The Avon ZV5s are excellent. Really good wet performance. Seeing as they were the same price as Nankang NS-20s they were a no brainer.

The logbook is in her name he's selling it. So he needs to prove that she does want to sell the car and it's legit.

Was thinking that or if she could send him a picture of her licence and nurses I.d. Something like that maybe Skype or something. Sounds like a lot of effort but it's a very clean looking car and in a spec that's extremely hard to get here. Plus if it was scam most likely the guy selling it wouldn't have mentioned ownership on the phone and he wouldn't have taken the pictures outside his house. Still though he needs to prove it. It will be interesting to here what he says this evening.

Lads basically sounds like a scam but some advice would be great. Anyway family member is looking at a car. Seems to check out mileage wise and all that. They haven't viewed it yet but the seller said he is selling it for a friend who is working as a nurse in Birmingham. Her name is on the logbook. There going to ring him back tonight and quiz him. But is there anyway this isn't a scam or is it just definite. Maybe if he could prove it some way but I dont even know how the logbook would work although he does have it. Interesting to see what he says when asked.

Not all car must be track gods or back road slayers, semi functional show builds are the closest we get to crazy concept cars on the roads, I'm delighted we have them.

I know, i was at a show recently there was a supercharged RS4 at it, lovely expect it was on air and had cooking woks for wheels, i cried a little inside - then i heard it arrived on a trailer - sad.

It is still limited, he hasn't gotten the time to remove it, he thinks it's only at 160 or so now, still only stock.

If it's limited he's using a jap (SiR) ecu. Throw an English (VTi) ecu into it and Itl be delimited.

On the same topic, if the engine code is B16A it's a jap engine. If it's B16A2 then it's an English one. Either will run best on its own ecu. They each have very slightly different fueling.

A good straight through, intake set up and ignition timing makes the world of difference to vtecs.
