It's only now I have any idea what the hell I'm doing. I was completely clueless when I left school for college. Would any of us give a 17 year old the responsibility of deciding our futures? Probably not but that's essentially what we do when we try to pick a career when still at school. If I had to do it again I would take a year or two off to work before going to college. Then I would commit everything to the degree/course/training that I decided on. Then I would try to work in as many areas to find out if I had any particular interests.
