Seems most weeks we have a bargain or two from Argos, thought it might be an idea to have a dedicated forum like the one for Tesco:-

The official line is that you reserve the item, not the price and the confirmation e-mail does mention that the price can change. In practice, though, if you are not known as a serial pain, the manager will honour the sale price.

Went to Argos and got the price I reserved the item at even though it went back up in price, manager came over and gave me the sale price. Just thought I would let you know. Thanks again for all the replies

Fair play to Argos. I reserved a camera last week (after getting heads-up from boards.ie - thankyou!) after I saw that it wouldn't be in store til today. Rocked up to the counter today and the assistant quoted me the higher price.

After I showed her the reservation email on my phone, she called over the manager without delay and they gave it to me at the Sale Price. Extremely sound, I thought.

I was in Argos yesterday, buying a powerline wifi extender (link) which is a good price for a bricks and mortar.
I happened to notice them setting up a ps4 games display. 1 I noticed in particular was Infamouns second son priced at €62.99. Thought to hell with that!
I happened to check the site today and notice it's down to €36.99 (link), along with discounts on a few others for PS4 and Xbox One

While its probably not spectacular enough to warrant its own thread, you can get a nexus 7 16gb for 30 quid cheaper than amazon (or a tenner cheaper than googles own site). I gotta say theres been some good tech bargains in argos as of late.

I didn't follow the meaning of the last couple of posts but I've just checked that the 16gb is cheaper in Xtravision at normal price than the discounted Argos 16gb, which is what I was initially saying so the Argos one is not a bargain at all. I can't be arsed to check what the story is for the 32gb versions.

Do argos stand by misprints in their catalogue? In the catalogue a toy is down as €28 but putting the product code from the catalogue into the website shows a different product (at that price). The toy on the website has a different number and is priced at 58 which is more realistic.

Sorry for going off topic here but if you have no luck in argos it's on bookdepository for €9.24 and it's also on easons site for €11.50 there's a buy one get one half price offer on the annuals in easons too.
