Defamation, court, negative public review

Hi all. From my knowledge a business cannot say in public that they are taking another business to court. If they do, it can be used against them. Right?
Situation: one business is trying to sue another business for what they think was a poor service. Before even the whole process begins that business posts in public forums defamatory reviews mentioning the fact that they will be taking the other business to court.
What can the other business do to stop this and take contra-action?

Whatever about the average Joe, a business should most certainly engage a solicitor if threatened with legal action.

Also, it is inadvisable to bandy about the term "defamation" on a public forum such as this - just as much as it is inadvisable to bandy about threats of legal action. Both businesses are as bad as the other here.
