If that happens juts drive on, less of the hand signals which are of no benefit, and could cause an accident if car in front of you came to a sudden stop.

I think a little forgiveness can be given in this situation seeing as he was almost flattened and would've ended up in a hospital bed for a while.

Not really, 1 hand on the bike for ages and not looking ahead on the motorway. Just curse to yourself and drive on. This kind of stuff causes road rage. He knew he was in the wrong as he didn't give out.

Lad, I don't know your background so I cant comment too much, but cars hurt - a lot. I would never leave my bike in someones blindspot, you have power on your wrist so use it - accelerate past the obstacle and return to cruising speed, easy as that.

If I uploaded a longer clip you'd see that I was travelling about 10KMPH faster passing in the next lane. I would not ride along "in someones blindspot" !!

On the other points raised. After beeping at the driver to make her aware she nearly pinned me to the center barrier, she just looked out the front window and ignored me. That can make someone a bit mad alright; a simple gesture to acknowledge making a mistake would have been sufficient. Also riding a bike with one hand... a comment from someone who's never been on a bike I take it. The brake is on the right... as is the accelerator and bikes don't tend to flip out of control for nothing. Signalling my frustration to the driver may, as pointed out, have been the only point at which she realised she make a mistake. After all, there is a headlight, DRL and Hi-Viz bike approaching, and if I was in her blind spot for 3 seconds, she could have seen me for the 2 mins before that.

He is going at some serious pace, not an excuse, but the message is kind of skewed as the driver (car) is stupid not actually going fast.
I think the message of look before you turn would be better.

I think there is a lot of messages in the video to be honest. Both parties should have been more responsible. At 150kph ish he did not have a hope of stopping if anything went wrong. The amount of times drivers cross the path of others with only half a glance is far too common too.

Powerful video, would really make you think.

The moment before he hits, you just feel sick to your core. I remember the feeling from a few incidents as a cyclist years ago, that feeling of no control, your fate is set. Horrible.

All types of road users should be taught how to read the road and look for oncoming cyclists and motorbikes.

R.I.P to David and fair play to the family for letting the footage out and this is ideal footage to be shown on tv also these things should be in the news and front pages of newspapers.

Other road users need to be aware of what is going on around them.

People will say he was going way too fast but seriously that car driver never even looked as he had a good bike lights on and reflective clothing I am sick of seeing vehicles pulling out on bikers as it has happened many times to myself also just been very lucky to never been hit like that.

Stay safe out there and hope drivers are taught how to look.
