Can you buy 02 presale tickets from a ticketmaster booth if you have the code with you or do you have to do it through the blueroom?? Can you go directly to ticketmaster.ie and enter your code or do you have to go through the 02 website?? Thanks!

To answer my own question reports from Run the Jewels suggests it's still sounding like ass there. Was a great few years when The Village dropped out of the live music venue roster hopefully due to people being wise to the state of the PA. Sad to see it getting gigs again probably due to the name change. Back to the boycott.

Has anyone been to a gig in the village since it became opium? Was hoping to see Stars but they just got bumped from Workman's to Opium. Swore off that kip last time I saw Stars there in eighteen dickety two and it sounded like ass. That being after a long line of gigs sounding like ass in the place (it seemed to be anything with guitars which was bad dance gigs were ok). Has the sound improved at all since renovation?

Yep, they usually have one on the corridor that leads to the standing area. You might have to queue for ages at the end to get your stuff back though!

Don't contact ticketmaster until a week or so before the gig, then just ring them and say the tickets never arrived. they'll probably leave them at the venue that close to the gig. I had a similar experience once when my mam washed 2 tickets.

Not 100% sure, but I think ticketmaster has a process that could replace tickets (even hard copies) if they were lost.
Not sure how this would apply in your case, I know from a friend that she misplaced her tickets and couldn't find them, called ticketmaster, they cancelled them and issued new ones.

I've bought tickets for 2 gigs in Vicar Street recently, namely Toto and Godspeed You! Black Emperor. As I'm a lazy git these days I decided to go for seated tickets both times. I go to lots of gigs so I'm usually hitting f5 a few seconds after 9 and buying my tickets straight away.

Anyway I noticed that for both these gigs (and maybe a couple earlier in the year) that Block E (the seating block facing the stage) wasn't an option in choosing the tickets, only Block D and F were available. Out of curiosity I emailed Vicar Street/Aiken about this and quite frankly I get the impression I'm being fobbed off; told that gigs sell out in a matter of seconds etc... and basically to go away. Which has just made me more determined

I'm pretty sure that if Block E was available to being with you could still choose Block E tickets until all the Block E tickets were fully purchased i.e. someone got to the Ticketmaster confirmation screen, not just chosen from the select ticket screen, and that this wouldn't happen at just a couple of seconds past 9 when I was trying to buy my tickets.

Just wondering if anyone has any insight on this. Did anyone manage to get a ticket in Block E in Vicar Street recently? If so, which gig was it?

Go to ticketmaster and venues and vicar street and you can see where table 112 is. It will be towards the back of the room alright.

For the main venue, the entrance is on Camden Row.
not sure where the band is entering/exiting.

I'm thinking of going to a gig in Whelan's but I've never been before, looking on streetview I'm a little confused about which door is entry to the main venue? Also do you know which door the band would be entering/leaving from? I'd like to chance meeting them if possible

When you are creating your ticketmaster account there is an opt in/out button. You don't really get presale information, just dates things will go on sale. You need to be on the mcd, aiken or relevant artist mailing list to get codes for presale. Otherwise, just keep track on this forum, codes get shared about.

You could get the shuttle to Portlaois train station and get the train or bus up. 5e for the shuttle.

I saw the Axis of Awesome there (they're musical comedy though), there were a few rows of seats right at the front and around the balcony - just normal bar chairs, not assigned- and the rest was standing.

Yeah, but depending on which entrance she comes out you could be at the wrong one. Usually a lot of acts will sign merch after the gigs, take photos etc. And I knew someone who went to her Whelans gig who said she was very friendly.
