I've gone ahead and picked a quick team to get this started:

Krul - 4.5
Mannone - 4.5

9 mil spent

Debuchy - 5.5
Baines - 7.0
Shaw - 6.0
Dunne - 4.5
O'Brien - 4.5

27.5 mil spent

Fabregas - 9 mil
Walcott - 9 mil
Sanchez - 10.5 mil
Odemwingie - 6.5
Shelvey -5.5

40.5 mil spent

Dzeko - 8.5
Bony - 8.5
Jelavic - 6.0

23 mil spent. That's a decent stab for a first team IMO. Players are underpriced compared to other seasons IMO.

Caulker has 7 goals in 56 PL games for Spurs/Cardiff. 2 goals in 16 games for Spurs and 5 in 36 for Cardiff last year. Some mids wouldn't have stats as good as that and QPR have decent fixtures.

I put the same team in Lemlin, just to see what it was like on screen, and I have 2.5 in the bank? :eek:

Mata for the first few weeks. Utd have great early fixtures with 3 promoted teams in the first 5 games.
Hazard isn't up to full fitness yet - he only started pre-season training 2 weeks ago.

Seemingly some question about hazard's fitness, might be worth getting Mata and hanging on to the cash.

Where is the question about his fitness coming from though? Ok he's had a late pre-season but has played the last couple of weeks. Are they really going to start some else over him?

tbh I think it's the late pre-season and not that he won't start but might get subbed .

Cheers man. Cazorla is 8.5m. I don't expect to have him long term, I think he could be a nice differential for week 1 and maybe 2 though. Will be making plenty of changes in the first few weeks.

Yep I realised that later. Delighted with it considering I have 2.5 mil banked. If the likes of Sterling or Eriksen do well, I can bring them in.

I have basically the same team as yourself, but I used the 2.5 for Lamela/Jelavic instead of Siggy/Fletcher.

New to this forum & to fantasy football in general, this is the first year I've taken part. I've already spotted some of my mistakes. Put too much faith in United having a strong opening season, and if they keep going like this I'll have to ditch Mata & De Gea at least I'd say. I got rid of Barkley when he didn't play today, I probably should have saved my sub until after the weekend at the earliest! Lesson learned there, not to panic. Anyway, was wondering if anyone could give me a few tips or pointers or just comment on my performance from day 1? Since I'm new I'm not sure if 39 is a good score or not!

You can tell you are new to it...you picked a totally logical, balanced side with 2 very good goalkeepers :pac:

Sorry, I know your probably not looking for tips but having an injured player with an unknown return date in your starting XI is criminal, get him out now before his price drops.
1 top class keeper is enough, only 1 of them can play at a time, so its wasted money just sitting on your bench.
Dont worry, we have all made these mistakes.
