I've gone ahead and picked a quick team to get this started:

Mannone - 4.5

Debuchy - 5.5
Baines - 7.0
Shaw - 6.0

O'Brien - 4.5

27.5 mil spent

Fabregas - 9 mil
Walcott - 9 mil
Sanchez - 10.5 mil
Odemwingie - 6.5
Shelvey -5.5

40.5 mil spent

Dzeko - 8.5
Bony - 8.5
Jelavic - 6.0

23 mil spent. That's a decent stab for a first team IMO. Players are underpriced compared to other seasons IMO.

Swansea and Stoke rotate nicely so you could drop Bojan for tough away games and play Taylor.

Looks good but I wouldn't be happy playing Bojan every week. I'd swap Van Aangolt for Taylor as they rotate nicely.

Haven't seen many pick Ashley Young, he's looked really good in pre-season and scored some good goals.

I have him in my team for the first few games at least, at £5.5m is there any other midfielders you could recommend as a possible replacement (in case I'm looking through rose tinted glasses as a United fan).

Whatever you do, don't vice captain Rooney. Captain him!

Swap Hazard for Fabregas and Coutinho for Sigurdsson and upgrade your defence and strikers. Paulinho is a no no.

Been tinkering with this now and am getting to a happy medium almost!! As usual with the prices it's tricky to get all that you want! Keeping GKs cheap to afford better elsewhere. Any suggestions for improvement?

Going for 3-4-2 to start. 1.5 in the bank.

Drop Howard to Begovic, Lambert to Austin, Cameron (he won't start anyway) to Wisdom, Lovren to Caulker. You're laughing, and have probably improved in most of those switches anyway.

As I recall it wasn't earth shattering, more rewarding of dribbling may now favourite attacking FBs where CBs were generally rewarded for clean sheets last year.

Also it was detrimental to GKs so OP forget about captaining DDG.

that's my guess on how they'll line up. Azpi did well last season out of position, though didn't really offer anything going forward. It's Luis' natural side, and he offers a viable attacking threat as well as being solid defensively.
