I've gone ahead and picked a quick team to get this started:

Fabregas - 9 mil
Walcott - 9 mil
Sanchez - 10.5 mil

40.5 mil spent

Dzeko - 8.5
Bony - 8.5
Jelavic - 6.0

23 mil spent. That's a decent stab for a first team IMO. Players are underpriced compared to other seasons IMO.

The thing I like about this team is being able to rotate Bojan and Sigurdsson depending on fixtures. It contains very few differentials though, and am beginning to think I should move some money around and try to get Costa in for Dzeko. Any thoughts would be great.

To be honest im not too sure of Flanagan and rooney.......midfield is solid i think coutinho is going to be the surprise this year having watched his preseason tour i was more than impressed with him.....

Thoughts?

Some points to note;
- Vlaar and Bartley selected to interchange with Lovren/Bardsley for difficult fixtures at start of season.
- Slightly worried about Chelsea's overload of central defenders so went with Luis ahead of Terry.

Too much Liverpool, and that's coming from a Pool fan. Wouldn't have anyone from Liverpool's defence to begin with as we have a tough start. Lambert is only going to be a bit player/impact sub so wouldn't fancy having him in my front 3! Coutinho is a good option though.

You're not sure about Rooney? With there opening 8 fixtures and RVP not fit yet you'd be mad not to.

I don't think I'd go with Cech. Once Courtois is fit I think he'll be the number 1 for the season.

You've completely overspent on defence in that case imo.
You can get Rooney in for Dzeko if you downgrade 2 of them.

Although villa don't have great opening fixtures, I expect them to be a lot more tight at the back this season.

Guzan is a decent keeper

Vlaar and the returning Okore are a massive step up on Clark and Baker. Cissisoko at LB will be an improvement also. Hutton and lowton to fight it out for the RB spot. Added to this hopefully will be the signing of Sanchez who will be a massive improvement as the DM

Right lads, this is the team with £1m left in reserve. I am not exactly pleased with it. Bojan needs to go as he is not a consistent goalscorer by any means, but I can right work out for who. I'm also a bit unsure on the defense and my second keeper. Any thoughts?

Worth getting in United & Chelsea defenders for opening fixtures

Paulinho hasn't had any of a preseason so I wouldn't be selecting him. He may well start, but it's a big gamble. If you're looking for a Spurs mid you'd be better off with Lamela or Eriksen. If you want a cheaper option, Lewis Holtby would be a better bet than Paulinho. He has played well in pre-season and could be part of Poch's plans. Although, you'd probably be better off with Siggy, a favorite around here.

As people have mentioned before, Everton have a tough start so would recommend DDG over Howard. Same goes for Barkely.

Obviously the goalkeeper situation is dodgy but I am willing to go with it until it becomes clear who will be 1st choice for Sunderland.

Ireland is a big gamble but willing to take a chance there, 5.0 could represent serious value.

No liverpool /City coverage an issue but you cant have it all, will bring a player form each in once their fixtures get easier after a few weeks.
