I am flying with these lads in a few weeks, Just wondering what they are like.

Do you get loads of drink on the plane and so on.

Is it worth getting the upgrading leg room or going to a different class. Going on Honeymoon so want to make sure everything is good.

ive flown with them several times in the past ,the upper class service is excellent. If you can do it, upgrade,.

You get some nice free kit when you get on too, great pajamas

It being Virgin I would imagine they don't open for love nor money.

I would imagine they would be tightly shut also.

I wasn't overly impressed with them when I went with them in 2010. I do think you get free soft drinks with them though.

On the subject of free drink on planes, Emirates are amazing for this. Free Johnnie Walker and coke the whole way over to Hong Kong.

I'd take BA over Virgin every day of the week. I've always noticed people coming off a Virgin transatlantic flight look like something from the Walking Dead, whilst us lucky folks on BA are doing the conga through CBP.

Do they give the free drinks then on the lfights over the atlantic. It was a toos up between virgin and BA to be honest and other people told me to go with Virgin. Worried now

Cathay Pacific, Melbourne - Hong Kong, free bourbon and coke the whole way, honest to god, one of the flight attendants actually came down to me and check of I was ok, cos apparently I drank almost the whole bottle.

Yep, you usually have to go the galley and get it yourself after the first couple of rounds though, but you can drink away if you want.

It's worth the upgrade to Premium Economy (or whatever the hell their term is) for a long-haul. The seats are now improved over what they were when I went two years ago, with center consoles giving you a bit more room between your neighbor. I had one leg (Sydney-Hong Kong) in upper class, which was very nice, complete with a bar to socialize around. But it's a tad pricey and, frankly, almost any long-haul business class is going to be reasonable.

They do, but they are very quick to cut you off if they think you're drinking too fast or too much.

We're also currently taking them to the small claims court in the UK due to their refusal to pay EU-mandated compensation for a delay of 27 hours on that same flight, but that's a thread for another day...

I got a few free whiskeys out of virgin in fairness, and i was flying coach.

OP, I didn't think the extra leg room was worth it, but then there was hardly anyone on the flight I took so I just helped myself to a row of seats and got some kip!

I was think the premium looked Nice, any idea on price. The agent i booked with looked for 730 per person return to do this.

Yes you get free drinks. You will have to get them yourself or ask a flight attendant if you want one in between the normal food/drink service but they don't have a problem giving them out. Virgin are way better than BA in my experience so don't be worried!

I flew in Upper Class from LHR-JFK a couple of years ago in an A340. Superb comfort. I even slept in my flat bed.
