Really? Ahead of Meat is Murder? I remember getting that album when I was about 14, still not quite fully accepting of the fact that Morrissey is a twat and laughing my head off at that song. Such a ham-fisted delivery and all those samples littered through it, Christ, awful.

Not at all keen on Spaceape by Burial, the first album isn't the most cohesive thing in the world but that track is not at all what I want when I want to listen to Burial.
Drunk Girls by LCD Soundsystem, I know practically every song they made was lifting heavily from other stuff, but did the world really need another variation on White Light/White Heat, the original wasn't that great.
Almost every track on The Love Below by OutKast, shocking stuff.
Demons by the National, snoozefest and not in a good way.

Yellow's pretty much a perfect song imo, overplayed to death but really sweet and warm and the kind of thing that I can totally understand thousands or millions of people wrapping extremely fond memories around.

Nonsense, Suede broke up mid-1994 with 2 great albums and a crazy number of amazing B-Sides over the space of 2 years.

Bernard Butler was in Suede up until Dog Man Star was almost finished as co-writer of just about everything and he left a pretty big stamp on their sound with his guitar playing. The first two albums are generally regarded as the best two and Suede are also fairly well known for being a band whose b-sides were often as good as if not better than album tracks and the a-sides, this reputation comes almost entirely from the Butler era.

Basically, when he was in the band, they were effortlessly knocking it out of the park. After he left, the sound changed and they got a lot more inconsistent.

Another +1 in defence of "Radio Nowhere". That's a fúcking CHOOOOON!
The Bruce song that irritates me the most is "Rosalita". It just goes on and on and on......and then goes on for another bit. It does work well live though.

All great bands,used to love all the songs mentioned until radio killed them by overplaying them.

This is it, many people have no choice of what radio station goes on in work. I remember that cover of "mad world" from the donnie darko soundtrack, it was on literally up to 8 times a day just during 9am-5pm in work.

Then there are songs that come on which are not played a lot, and the station plays them every single day for weeks. Last I remember being annoyed about was "brass in pocket" by the pretenders. I like the song but FFS they do have some others you could fucking play.

Strangely last christmas I did not hear fairytale of new york much. I reckon they copped on they have done it to death.

Not a band, but the song I despise is Stevie Wonders "I just called to say I love you". Growing up in the 80's I was unaware of lots of artists back catalogues and hated many artists that I now think are amazing. Rod Stewart, Elton John, Bowie.

Carly Simon has never actually revealed who the song is about though, so the point is that whoever she's on about is so vain he probably thinks the song is about him, rather than anyone else. She also describes how vain he could be in the lyrics:

" You had one eye on the mirror as you watched yourself gavotte"

"Well you said that we made such a pretty pair" etc.
