Normal age for loosing virginity

I have read a recent report that said that nearly three quarters of Irish college students were sexually active. I don't believe that for a second. Do You??????? I am 19 years old and I am still a virgin. I'm sure that most of my friends are too.

I'm 26 but I just finished doing a degree and most of my college friends who are 21 or 22 are still virgins. At first I was a bit baffled and surprised as I thought that the majority of people would have lost their virginity by 19.

Generally, Girls hormones would be active approximately as much as 3 years earlier than a male of the same age. Her Estrogen levels may be increasing as early as 8/9 years of age.
Even a Male whose Testosterone increases at 8-9, may take longer to develop because the stages of sexual development are slower in the male.
The age where Virginity is lost (if ever) depends on many factors, Lifestyle, Emotions, urges, desires, all play a major part in it.
I lost my virginity a lot earlier than the OP, to an older girl, and i do believe the 75% active as near enough to the correct figure.

I'll admit that it seems sexual activity is more common now, but still today, among uni students, I would suggest plenty have never had sex, and plenty are not "active".
