So why are the UN saying there were no militants or weapons in the school.that was targeted today? Why did Israel bomb that school when they knew where it was and what it was being used for?

Very interesting thread. I knew nothing about the conflict other than snippets on the news and that it had been going for ever. There does seem to be a lot of "picking sides" going on though both in here and globally. It all seems so pointless and a desperate situation all round. You just wanna bash their heads together and scream LOOK WHAT YOU'RE DOING TO EACH OTHER. I wouldn't like to have that much hate in me that I was blinded to the futility of it all. I think that's why I avoid the news - it's just all bad news, so much awful **** that we perpetuate onto each other EVERY DAY. I know how John Coffey must have felt.

Both are terrible, but I can see the military sense of attacking an enemy's attack capability, and cannot excuse indiscriminate targeting of civilians.

In general though, I want a ceasefire. Hamas has no tactical advantage but knows that it can continue to fire rockets, knowing that Israeli retaliation might lead to enough condemnation for Israel to stop and for Hamas to call this a huge victory for themselves. Look at the celebrations when they heard they had captured an IDF soldier, for example. They won't back down without some sense of "victory", and neither will Israel at this point.

On the other hand, the moment Israel went into its ground op it was committed to destroying those tunnels and rockets. They too need a PR victory for themselves at this point due to the tragic beach shelling and today's UNRWA bombing.

There is logic to Israel's actions: systemically wipe out Hamas' firepower to ensure its people no longer live in fear.

There is logic to Hamas actions: with no firepower to trouble Israel, it must play an extremely costly PR game. If there is enough death and condemnation for Israel, they might be able to get favourable ceasefire terms and maybe even a lifting of the blockade.

In today's latest IDF/IMF murders, the Israelis warned te civilians to leave their houses and shelter in the UN school. They did.

What did the Israeli Murder Force do next? Bombed the school. Took out a few UN teachers while they were at it.

I forgot though, UN teachers are terrorist though aren't they?

So those were 4 little weapons playing football on the beach and there were 8 weapons getting fresh air on the roof of their home when they were killed in a drone attack.

That was inexcusable and horrendous. I do no support that and I've no idea why they were targeted. But don't tar all of the IDF operations with the same brush.
