AFAIK you can change from age to ZV but not vice versa. I like the ZV plate especially when people have them formatted as ZV1 2345

Just to update, and not to cause a roarin' argument.. :P

I called over to FirstStop and explained my scenario to them. They offered a refund. So not a bad set of lads, all in all, in fairness to them. I'd use them in future for tyres, air-con or other basic services/parts.

Well I have a mechanic that I trust and have used for a long time. We get on well, and he'd be the one that does 99% of things to my car.

But there are certain things that he doesn't really get involved in (air con and auto-electrics aren't exactly specialties of his, hence Halfords and FirstStop getting a chance).

My mentality in dealing with Halfords and FirstStop is their warranties and guarantees. If I got a local Auto Electrician to install a bluetooth kit, and he made a mess of it, there's every possibility you'd never hear from him again when you find a problem. At least with Halfords, FirstStop, etc. you know where they are and they have to abide by their own policies etc.

As a photographer Ive seen so many cowboy photographers out there who make a mess of things and then never acknowledge angry customers. I'd imagine this goes for every area of work (including car-related industries).

Hence using these type of outfits..

I can understand that, I've been guilty of using them for one or two things before, but there no good after a while
