Following on from the trivial things that annoy you, I hope we can start a thread on trivial things that make you happy.

I love pushing the button for the lift and the doors open right away.

Being able to walk straight down an escalator or up it without people standing in the way.

Being bale to sail down the driving lane and use the passing lane without lane-hoggers or slow drivers.

A good thread on boards.ie

when the bus is there as soon as i arrive at the bus stop or train as soon as I arrive at the platform.

when the parking spot that I usually park in in the local shopping centre is free.

Getting my hair done on Thursday and really looking forward to it.
Nothing major- just a little trim and a splash of black dye. Been ages since I had my hair done so I'm going to enjoy it all the same.
Also, my local did up their beer garden in time for the good weather and it looks STUNNING. Hope to get down there for a few bevvies if the weather is still good.

I was really disappointed to have to give up my career for health reasons a few years ago. But it REALLY made my day to meet the 3 people that it takes to do the job I used to do. Amazing how people underestimate your work until they have to find someone else to do the job:)

I got a lovely surprise today. Following a tense meeting with my course tutor and an annoyingly chipper student welfare officer, I was feeling a bit deflated from trashing out the notion that I wanted to quit. They finally agreed to let me go, thankfully but I was drained after the meeting.
After I got out of the office, I fancied a coffee and went to the ATM to get some money.
There was €500+ in my account.
Apparently, I got two weeks of holiday pay!

I'm going to buy myself a much needed Ipod Classic tomorrow with my monies along with putting some aside for my much delayed next tattoo.
It was an awesome surprise!
