Oh, and make sure you know the mechanical stuff. I know someone who - while they didn't fail because of it specifically - did because not knowing the answers counted towards accumulated faults. It's especially relevant if your car has electric power steering, and they ask where the power steering fluid goes.

I should explain.... I have a full B licence lad, this is for another category !

I also worked in a garage for a while and learned how to service a car and some other bits aswell as taking out my reverse light switch yesterday, so i reckon i'm fairly covered !

Went for a rip up to the Sally Gap, and on towards Laragh, the drive on from the Sally Gap to Laragh is something else. The road is ropey enough at points but when it gets good it's unreal. The scenery is stunning on a day like today too. And having a car as sorted as mine is at the minute makes it that much better too! (Runs franticly around trying to find some wood to touch!)

I haven't been up it in a while but is it still bumpy as feck on the military road? Wasn't sure if it was bumps or unmarked ramps the last time?

From a few miles before the waterfall is always great, surface gets great, nice open sweepers that you can see well ahead of. Great road to push on a bit and let the hair down

There are some nice sections of tarmac alright. Then theres the potholes and hidden dips which can scare the shíte out of you if taken at a less than appropriate speed

Still as bad as ever, some of the bumps have been marked by some kind stranger with a spray can. You'd really need something with less 'low' to have the full enjoyment, but it's still great.

Haven't been up that way in a long time now, couldnt fit my truck up that way!
My zed is coming back from a gearbox rebuild early next week so hopefully I'll reacquaint her with the windy roads and great views that she has become accustomed to!

Was behind a caddy just there with a tdi badge. I would have found it more convincing if the owner had removed the c20 75 badge which comes on all sdi caddys :pac: I thought it was funny you don't see an sdi / tdi caddy everyday.

Got stuck behind two twats, one in a mk4 gti the whole way up stocking lane, who was doing about 40km/h the whole way and refused to even check his mirror to see people queuing up behind him. Managed a blast past him eventually. The second ould fella wasn't so bad!

Where in the country does zinc coating? I want to get this kind of finish, dunno what to call it, zinc coating obviously but there had to be a name to that type

The traction control on the RX8 gives you about half a second of pants wetting before it kicks in and makes everything ok!
