The first question isn't a legitimate question. The second question doesn't make sense - do death tolls need to be 50/50? Israel protects its people with Iron Dome; Hamas protects its weapons by using its people. Lastly, genocide is the indiscriminate wiping out of a population. It's an actual term, not just something you can use as a slogan. The only indiscriminate attacks are the useless rockets Hamas fires into Israel.

Here's a question for you: do you think Hamas should stop firing the rockets? Egypt has proposed a truce, Israel has accepted it, and Hamas has no strategic or firepower edge. Why not take the truce and end the current crisis?

It is discriminate as it targets particular groupings and kills them all, a bit like ethnic clensing but without the overwriting of the race, in Genocide they are just killed. Genocide is the systematic destruction of all or part of a racial, ethnic, religious or national group etc.

Apologies, got that mixed up, obviously it's discriminate. I think it's fairly obvious that IDF's targets are Hamas-related. The civilian deaths - which are tragic by the way, I'm not a monster - are a terrible consequence of Hamas's tactics of deliberately firing from or storing weapons in hospitals, schools etc. Also, there are numerous examples online of what can happen when IDF launches a 'knock-on-the-door' mortar to warn building occupants to leave; Hamas supporters run into the building en masse to act as human shields.

It is indiscriminate. They know they will kill civilians, they know they wont stop the rockets, all they are trying to do is frighten the population through murder.

People running into buildings to be blown up? Any Palestinians I knew out there did their very best to run away from the IDF. Most of them aren't foolish enough either to believe that the Israelis could give a sh*t about civilian casualties in Gaza of all places.

Similarly there were no rockets fired from the beach bar they flattened on the beach last week, nor were there launch pads at the hospital for disabled women they bombed. Likewise the "Hamas targets" often include the homes of police officers and administrative government centres.

"Genocide" and "ethnic cleansing" don't just appear as murderous activity. There are constant efforts by Israel to demolish the traces of Palestinian life, religion and culture. Into the bargain, they build settlements on illegally occupied land, in an effort to replace that culture with a Jewish one, until one day, all traces of the Palestinians are reduced to a memory for those who won't want to forget.

Indiscriminate acts includes the carpet bombing of Vietnam, the Fire Bombings of Dresden, the Nuclear bombings of Japanese cities.

That's a crazy assumption. I live in the Middle East, I know Palestinians. I have plenty of compassion for Palestinians and I think it's a tragedy that those in Gaza have to live under Hamas, which uses its resources to put their lives in danger through $1000 missiles that invite retaliation on the populace.

Hamas can do very little in the face of one of the best equipped armies in the world who have free reign to target a people contained and hemmed into one of the most densely populated places in the world.

Similarly very little gets constructed in Gaza because the Israelis prevent cement from being imported via their illegal blockade. One of the main things the flotilla was carrying was cement but obviously the Israelis put paid to that when they massacred unarmed sailors.
