I remember when Peter Collins did Formula 1 commentary. Good voice for F1 commentary, but he had his own way of pronouncing things. "Monaaaaaaaaaaco" being one of his favourites.

This is already the best impression type show on RTE that I've seen, because there's at least a little bit of absurdity and whimsy to it.

Only laugh in the whole show. Remember when they were on Brendan O Connor laughing worse than Callans impression of them, not a word said about it.

It was a good idea to base the show around the newsroom and one of his best impressions, Brian Dobson.... Particularly enjoyed the Rachel Álain sketch, the Amy Huberman sketch good too, and Marty Morrissey.. He's fairly nailed Marty's voice..

Didn't like Reilly skit - just too simplistic. But overall way better than Mario. Some stuff was brill. Mario has done fantastic stuff on radio but rubbish on TV.

Pleasantly surprised by that, enjoyed it. Thought the 2nd half wasn't near as funny as the 1st though. GAA crew and Brian Dobson were great IMO.

Ya. Its not Faulty Towers but good enough for a six program run. A bit awkward with the cabinet reshuffle so close to air time.

Watching the repeat on RTE+1. His Joe Brolly is brilliant. And that Amy Huberman Newbridge Silver ad was born to be taken the piss out of like that. I approve !

The Imelda May would have worked if he hadnt extended the sketch for so long... Show him with the blonde curl in his hair, make the joke about her being on almost every RTE show and then cut the sketch... But it went on too long..

His Enda sketches are always good. I find the wooden mannerisms of Enda hilarious anyway he just highlights how wooden he is. Overall the show improved alot from last years.

Serves 'em right. There seems to be a collective amnesia amongst the Irish media luvvies about "that thing". It's about time somebody mentioned it, even in a satirical way.

I was working earlier, so couldn't watch, but just watched on Player.

Absolutely dire. The only impression that was better than mediocre was Dobbo. All the rest were crap, sounded nothing like who they were supposed too be. And the material is very weak too.

Mario is in a completely different class, both in terms of the impressions and the material.
