I'd say all the sets that they are selling will be the newer version now.
I've seen this happen before. If they can't get their hands on the older model listed, they provide something of a similar quality instead.
I doubt there is much difference between the two TV's in the end.

For anyone interested in Specs, its the i5 3230M @ 2.6GHz.
Screen Resolution is 1600x900.
Also for dimensions, Argos seem to be way of, Asus website has this listed,
42 x 28.2 x 3.46 ~3.86 cm (WxDxH).

I would ignore argos listed reductions and also previously been on sale. They aren't a reliable guide of the usual price of products. The are there to make you think its reduced. When its probably at the same or similar price for ages. Checking its price history on Amazon is probably a better guide.

Are you sure that model has the Blu-Ray drive? It's an optional on these models.

After a little bit of research, I think you're right, it does have the Blu-Ray drive.
I would recommend checking the box in Argos first though to be sure.
