Yep, ZV plates. ( See an old green W108 up on Nth Gr Georges St, had E** *** L plates on it, now on 7*** Z so I reckon he moves between here and UK and reg's it back and forward depending where he's living

Spotted in The Algarve (Portugal) a few days ago. Mint, 1990 reg, appears to be in everyday use.

They dont have steep road tax system like ours so many older bigger cars still in circulation. The dry climate helps too of course!:D
(Having said that, it cost us €70 in tolls to do 3.5 hour round trip. Makes Dublin-to-Galway tolls seem like a bargain in comparison!)

CI have either J123456 (Jersey) or 12345 (Guernesy) It's a 280E (judging by rear bumper), Jap spec ( front repeaters ) so it possibly a Jap import (tho' the Japs usually liked their Mercs in LHD :eek: ) but with an Irish font / plate version of a Jap registration

A glance at the 'tax disc' might have resolved the question :rolleyes:
