I'm looking to buy a speedlite, because I am shooting photos for a local disco soon. I was just wondering if any of you know of any cheap but descent speedlites?
say, under €150??

Just watch where you buy from. Some sellers (the majority) are based in China or Hong Kong, and can take weeks to deliver.

The problem with 3rd party speedlites is, you wont have ETTL, you will have to set your flash power manually.

Not all of them have TTL, but many more expensive ones do

There aren't many Yongnuo models that don't have TTL nowadays (just the 460 and 560 AFAIK).

It takes longer for a package to arrive from the UK than it does HK.

I've been using the Godox V860c goes for about €140 uses a lithium ion battery so fast recycle time also has both HSS and ETTL, blows the 430ex ii out of the water IMO.

Many people. It's a fantastic manual flash. Easily the best value manual flash on sale at the moment. Genuinely equal to Nikon and Canon's offerings if you intend on shooting manual.

T'is fine, but as mentioned above, manual only.

I hope you didn't blow the budget on that, they should only be ~€55.

It was €52, but had to get two day delivery, so postage was quite a bit

I have a Yongnuo 468ii and its great, although Im not a heavy flash user.
It has TTL but I dont use it, just find it too unreliable. Use it in manual mode always.

I bought the 560 iii last month as I wanted it for my sons communion but of course put it on the long finger (one week before), I decided to go with amazon uk ordered it on tues and had it thurs. It a manual flash but excellent for the money €56 if you want TTL get the EX model and still only pay about €130.

Hiya, sorry if this question is not quite in line with the Op. Does anyone know how much difference there is between 450w and 600w for location photos? ie would 450w be enough to light a bridal party outside on a sunny day? Also has anyone used T1 studio lighting store? I can't post my own questions yet. Apologies

TBH I got caught on that too when selling a MkII, the offer (a fair offer as it turns out) was so low that it made more sense to keep it.

I paid €80 for each of them less than a year ago and then paid the customs charge when they came in also. It is a shame to sell them for €100.
