Thought Cooper did a great days work, fighting for dirty ball is a task cork players have been criticised for not doing in the past, he did that in spades yesterday, and as mentioned already this gave a lot of freedom to Kearney and Walsh to dominate at mid field, had Clare dominated the dirty ball contest in their half back line (as they did last year’s AI) corks mid field would have been bypassed. Fair play to all the cork players and management they stepped up and still have more in them to give I think. A well balanced side with a good bench.

Thought Cooper at least worked hard yesterday anyway which you often dont see as being the case with Cian McCarthy or Cronin for that matter.

As an aside I thought Christopher Joyce had a good game, Tony Kelly was hardly seen for the 70 mins

When will the tickets be going on sale? I hear that the capacity at Pairc ui Franc is reduced to 34000

Lads are being very harsh on Cooper. People need to remember that he was injured for most of 2012 and didn't play a huge amount in 2013. Yes his touch was off yesterday but that is to be expected after missing the three games against Clare last year. He is by far the best grafter-type hurler we have. Paudi Sul is a very different type of player, and we would lose a lot of industry, work-rate and heart without Cooper on the pitch.

cronin got the better of david mac in the second half, however in last years 2 finals he was worth 4 points a game to cork with the amount of frees he won he had clare on the ropes the second day

Cooper had a tough time of it today, no fault of his own,
Still worthy of the no 11 jersey,

He made a serious impact in the two Waterford matches I wouldn't lose faith with him yet!

Cian Mac isn't good enough to start, moylan is a better impact player, Paudie Sullivan more of a corner forward,Cronin some improvement today but not a fan

Harnedy,cooper, lehane has a nice balance to it,

Cork gave away two soft goals I m worried about that.
Alas Munster final here we come

Regarding Cooper, I think his use of the ball needs a lot of improvement. Whether it's him needing to adjust to the pace of inter-county hurling or not being fully used to Cork's style of play I'm not sure, but he just seems indecisive when he gets the ball in his hand!

In fairness though he gets through a mountain of work and makes life muh easier for the midfielders. I'd say it isn't a coincidence Walsh and Kearney have improved from the first Waterford game when Cronin and McCarthy were in the half forward line due to their lack of pace. Cooper's giving them a much greater licence to roam IMO.

He's also nullified the influence of two very accomplished centre backs the last couple weeks so I'd stick with him.

I don't really think there are many other options to be honest. McCarthy's a superb club hurler but doesn't have the pace for this level, Moylan would disrupt the balance of the team as he'd have to play in the corner and I'd prefer to see Paudie eased back into action and not sure he'd have the ball winning ability we'd need at half forward.

If Cork play like they did today you'd expect them to take care of Limerick with ease. That said, Limerick were very poor against Tipp and can only improve on that perforcance - particularly in the forwards. May also be difficult for Cork to produce a performance like todays again so should be an interesting one.

Thought Cadogen looked a real threat when fed the ball in low, the backline deserve good praise too I think - Clare didn't get a sniff for a long period of the second half

Paudie is the obvious replacement with Harnedy in the centre, but if he's not ready to start I'd like to see moylan given a go, or jamie coughlan. Anything but cronin and mccarthy.

Maybe it just looked that way on TV so, i'll take yer word for it.

As for the final, to be honest, i hate championship matches in Cork. Last munster final we played at home if i remember rightly was 2005 v tipp right?

100% agree , he was outstanding ,never seen tony kelly with so little time and space on the ball ,

i even taught he went unnoticed last year aswell very under rated player

Delighted with how ellis and cahalane have settled in. Walsh was inspiring at times too.

For me, Cooper is an upgrade on Cian McCarthy.
With Paudie O' Sullivan getting back to full fitness that also gives more options throughout the forward line.

If a ref is making contentious decisions. he's going to be a topic of conversation.
In the same way as when Horgan got a harsh red in last year's Munster final, the ref came under scrutiny.

How does Cronin start for Cork every week - he adds nothing to the forward line!
Caught a few high balls at the end but the game was well over at that stage.

We have some passengers out there. Cronin directly responsible for giving away a score again there, he is a travesty. Cooper really doesn't have the hurling for this level either. Don't know what Moylan has to do to get a proper chance. Badly need Paudie back too.
