I wouldn't let someones last minute opinion change your course, do you what to do, not a course you don't enjoy because it will apparanlty offer more jobs

It's hard to predict what'll happen with teaching. With the pay reduced for new teachers it's hard to tell if as many will go for it. Still, many, many people I know are going for teaching this year. Very popular still.

If it's what you want to do I'd do it, by the time you'll have your degree there could be loads of jobs, 4 years is a long time.

You could always teach abroad if you were stuck anyway, or do you have to do a different degree to do that?

And like Aspiring said, it still seems to be a popular degree. I know 3 or 4 people going for it.
