I'll bet that in first video it's going to be pedestrian who is to blame for accident.

If the driver was a politician then nothing will happen to him and can sue pedestrian and claim. This is the law in that country, believe it or not.

Was the pedestrian definitely ok? He hadn't moved in a long time.

Looks like the car traveled around 20 feet from point of impact which the internet tells me is around 20mph, so around a 5% chance of death. Considering the age of the victim, you can probably half that.

That was kinda my point, with exception that driver doesn't need to be politician at all.
It could have been anybody.
Pedestrian stepped right in front of car driving at speed. This is prohibited, therefore it's pedestrians fault, and he might be sued to pay for damages to the vehicle.

I wouldn't report such an incident even though several laws were broken as in that particular situation, the driver was lucky that no one was in "actual" danger.

If someone had to take evasive action because of his driving then it would have been a different story.

I am mistaken on the reg anyway. After a closer look
all I can make out after a frame by frame is 07 KE

Plus if i did report it, they would have to prove the identity of the driver .

I have to stick to the speed limit due to a tracker sending out a safety report of my driving style to my company every 30 seconds.

This cracks people up behind me as I have to hit the breaks before the posted road sign limit. Dangerous overtakes are a day to day thing . It seem very little of the driving public follow the speed limit as I always have a tail of cars behind me everywhere I go. But when they do stupid overtakes in built up areas where people live, I will post them on youtube from now on.

It's up to the Gardaí whether they want to follow up on a report of dangerous driving or not. It doesn't take all day to look at a 30 second video.

As the appropriate speed in a built up area is the posted speed limit .

No one has the freedom to exceed the limit. Not unless they are exempt from the law.
