A couple of other clubs (Tullamore were one, I think Fanad too) pulled out before the last season of the A Championship because they knew they weren't ready to step up to a fully national second tier and saw no point in playing a final season in the doomed third tier.

dreamers75 wrote: » Fairly sure my post on the subject was" we signed Fahey should add a few hundred to the gate ........but wont" I honestly cba with LOI fans that get into arguments over **** crowds. We all have **** crowds and a thread on here full of stupid fcuking ideas to increase our crowds. So i just dont worry about it anymore. Imo the crowds will turn when we have an international player in our league, England heading towards picking players from the Champo.....when ireland does it will be the only thing to push the league on turnout wise. Stadiums: some teams have nice ones, some teams dont.....doesnt help crowds. Cork and rovers prime examples of high attd and low attds. Cork have an actual football stadium. Quality of Football...yah know the thing "we" all love....quality imo has been improving tenfold since i started going in the 80s. Atm you have Pats Sligo and Dundalk playing some super football. Imo this is down to the coaching at underage level, they getting better at coaching we getting better players who didnt go abroad. Honourable mentions to UCD and Cork. Oh and the FAI for work in the underage section......Dundalk barely had 300 fans at a home FAI cup semi 2 years ago, brought nearly 1200 to Richmond last season. Im sure you have an amount of fans in your head that you have. We on the other hand have a consistent **** crowd :pac: good or bad our crowd is around the same level.
