Draft Discussion - No Spoilers/Experts/Twitter

Think we had one of these last year, and Higgins mentioned it over in the main Draft Thread.

So, as the Title says, discussion for the 2014 draft, only no quoting of the experts, mock drafts, anyone on Twitter, etc. We'll try and keep the spoilers to a minimum as best we can. (This stands for prior to the pick. Quoting an expert's thoughts on a pick that has already been made is fine)

Complaining about Mayock spoiling picks, after the pick has been made, is probably fair and warranted

Looking forward to this now. See ye all at 1am with a beer in hand and snacks in the other.

What I don't understand (and this is not just the 49ers) but how's does Gabbert fit in? Surely the 49ers are better with a QB similar to Kapernick in case he does get injured so they then don't have to change the gameplay too much! A QB like Logan Thomas!

Gabbert could come in and play if kap gets injured. Anyone drafted now would need a year or more before being ready.

Wouldn't fancy Thomas playing anytime in year 1

eagles pick they got in the brown to the bills trade is dependant on how stevie johnson performs for the 49ers

great trade for the eagles so brown has massive potential an should be a very very good player if the bills block for him but he didnt fit our scheme and chris polk overtook him last year

Oh dear God, we draft a RB. The only kinda of RB we need, is a guy with good hands for the pass (as a back up to Vereen). From what I hear about White he's not a pass option out of the backfield.

Turning into a pretty shít draft overall. Shocking to think nobody brought in for Brady. I'm probably happiest with our QB pick though.

Checked out White a bit further and he averages 6.5 YPC and most impressive of all, he's only fumbled twice in 756 carries. Ridley needs to watch out.

Savage gone. Mettenberger would have to be a bit of value in the 5th. He was being talked about as an early seconder rounder for most of this process, and lit up his pro day

Seeing quite a few "mini-JJ Watt" comparisons for the Ravens pick Brent Urban. Anyone who has watched a lot of him know much about him? I've barely watched him to be honest.
