Makes for interesting reading as to what rules some people believe should apply to dogs. We've shot a neighbours dog before, was chasing our cattle after receiving a verbal warning from us. Although if I said that on the thread over there I would be bashed myself!:p

The OP seemed to think that it was OK for the dog to kill the lamb as it wasn't in the field he thought it should be, what a bizarre attitude..

We have zero tolerance round here for dogs worrying stock. Dogs that are allowed out even once to kill should be shot, no excuses no promises to keep better control, shot !

nothing more vexxing than dogs roaming alot of owners dont understand the trouble a dog can cause to livestock and a farmers pocket but yellow card for first offence followed by doggy heaven if it happens again seems the best plan.

Hope you're flying the flag for us, serious damage done here in the past, but I'd never ask for a dog to be put down......it's the owners fault and its them that should be disciplined.
Have lovely dogs here and they love rounding up sheep even on their own....does that mean they should be put down

I just have the commuter series one, think the defender is more robust but I got mine on an eBay auction at ok money so didn't mind. Had to get rid of that flip cover thought it was a prick of a yoke

took out 2 suckler cows that where springing last week, cow a calved no bother aa bull calf, cow b was mental yesterday had a backwards calf, thinks calf a is hers. No going near them, cow a is head butting calf b. Calf a having a great time going between the 2 cows. Took calf b out this evening-risking life and limb- hate sucklers
