Same here, just checked mine (still in the box and unopened) and it's the 2012 version. Typical boards.ie bargain alert reaction that even when you get a real bargain you feel a little cheated if you find out there was a slightly better bargain to be had if you were lucky! :rolleyes:

Guess we'd need to see the full model number for that? As in the sticker on the box itself which gives the full model no.

I recently bought one. Whilst the build quality seems lower than my previous Samsung laptop, it does feel very nice specced in terms of how quick it is and how well it handles programmes etc.

I am on my second laptop since 2004, both are Acer.. Not a problem, use it about 4-5 hours each day for surfing net and watching movies/listening to music, if that helps

Grabbed myself one of these laptops. Delighted with the purchase.

The keyboard seems a bit plasticy for my liking (doesn't seem very sturdy) plus the sound from it is atrocious, not very loud and very tinny. BUt for the price it's a bargain. i7 processor, 6GB RAM, happy days!

go into the speaker settings and adjust the equaliser and loudness equalisation in the enhancements and sound is not to bad

upgraded mine to 8.1 seems a bargain so far
