Halo 4 was the start of the Reclaimer trilogy so there will be a Halo 6. Halo Reach provided the back story to Cortana and the last of the Spartan 2 soldiers so I don't see any filler in the IP except maybe ODST.

This generation we have had Forza 5 with less cars less tracks and a €60 car pack on day one. Ryse was hack and slash rubbish. Multi-plarform games run reduced frame rates or in 720P. I have switched to PS4 and while it's exclusives are nothing to write home about either the console is already shown the power gap is huge on titles like Tomb Raider.

I can think of several films, games and now consoles that have been the unfair victim of this behaviour. In this instance MS made a fundamental error in the nature of the relationship between console, software and the user/buyer. They copped on, watching the clever exploitation of the mistake by Sony and the massive backlash by the press and bloggers. They more than corrected their mistake but the blood was in the water and since then we've had to suffer people who assume the ability to see the future informing us ignorant masses of their wisdom in knowing definitively that the Xbox One is doomed, a terrible piece of hardware with sub standard games and to all ignore it and buy the PS4 instead. What a load of cobblers. The hope seems to be by affecting opinion in places like this, using weak and often anecdotal information, to spread a wave of uncertainty about the Xbox One and it's future. The reasons would seem not to be in the spirit of some altruism but rather to feel superior and, if all goes right, to be able to brag how right they were and why we should worship their opinion in all future matters. Numptys.

If the planned PS4 exclusives don't interest you, I'd go for the Steambox. PC will obviously have it's own exclusives. And more of them. I think I'll get a steambox at some stage myself and still use my PS4. It's a different beast altogether in terms of the experience. My friends don't play on PC, so I'd be gaming with strangers and I like my PS friends list.

I really want Microsoft to find some sort of solution for the resolution fiasco, so that I can comfortably buy an Xbox one. On the other hand I'm thinking, PS4 is clearly winning the race, but if I'm going to buy a PS4 I'd rather just buy a steambox, it'll have the same PC games but with better graphics. Isn't that the reason PS4 is better? So I'm asking myself why settle for an inferior PS4 when I can get a PC\steambox?! As I see it the PS4 as absolutely nothing else in it's favour other than better resolution on ported games.

No, it's because the consoles will offer (and already do, albeit obviously at a very low rate at this early stage) games that people want to play. For the social aspect, or the comfort, maybe, but predominantly the games. When it comes down to it, if a great game is a great game, no-ones care whether it's in 4K or 480p resolution - obviously it's nice to see developers aim for 1080p with this new tech, but if resolution is a definitive, no leeway 'deal breaker' than you're on a different page to a hell of a lot of other gamers.

On Xbox, Titanfall does not interest me in the slightest nor Halo (done to death). They're just the same old same running around getting ass kicked by UK kids with super fast fibre optic broadband. Getting killed before you have even met your opponent gets very tedious after a while. If I get fibre optic soon then maybe online gaming might start to interest me again, but that's unlikely anytime soon.
